According to Valvoline, their ATF+4 fluid is approved and officially licensed by Chrysler for all ATF+4 applications, so yes you can use it.

Does it need to be specifically for manual trans or does the automatic suffice. The reason I ask is that the Valvoline bottle says for automatic trans.

It's confusing, but the T355 actually takes automatic transmission fluid.

Here's the section of the service manual on fluid change for the T355; it specifically notes the use of automatic transmission fluid.

Thanks much. Walmart has the Valvoline in stock for $9.95 a quart. I have a bad back so I'll have to find a shop that will do it.

Sun Auto did the work. Took about 45 minutes and cost $95 for labor. It's not the kind of job I would have done. The fluid was put in from underneath the car. They used an apparatus that pumped the fluid in. A large panel which covered the undercarriage had to be removed first. I'm glad I had it done.
