2011 Jeep Patriot Sport (Latitude)
82,000 miles
Oil/fluids changed December
Ran fine all week, Thursday morning started her up and a terrible loud screeching noise started, from under the hood. No engine lights are on, the belt is in tact.
The sound gets worse with acceleration. Could it be the pulleys? The tensioner? Im afraid to drive it.:crying:

if it occurs when stopped solely when engine is revved
most likely its pulley related
any of the pulleys could be doing it
alternator/AC/waterpump/tensioner
listed as most likely culprit first
would have to take belt off and see how each feel
