Newb here, I bought a 2016 Patriot Latitude 2.4 6spd recently and threw some google searches came across this forum that has a wealth of information about these cars. I work on my own cars and most of the questions I've had are answered by scouring this forum. I also work at Stellantis here in Toledo, Ohio building the Jeep Wrangler. I got a question....when is FCA gonna stop putting the Jeep name on their own stuff and start building actual Jeeps that don't have backup cameras, autolights, all the sensor crap, etc.?

FCA does not own jeep anymore. Its Stelantis. And never is the answer. LOL

Maybe they can get Dick Teague to design a new Javelin or Virgil Exner to produce a new DeSoto or Ray Loewy to revive the Avanti. Alas, like Chrysler, AMC, and Studebaker they are all dead. I do wish there was some creativity in modern car design. They all seem hung up on electrified eggs. Even colors are limited. Compare the color selection of any brand in 1969 compared to color selection today -- and even if they offer a color, try getting one. When I bought my gray Compass they told me nobody bought the other colors. "Can I buy that green one over there?" I asked. "Oh, no, that one's already sold, but we've got a dozen gray ones you can choose from." Choose . . .?

Thanks for the warm welcome! As someone who likes to tinker and be pro-active I cleaned my TB yesterday, drove it last night for about 50 miles no issues. Then today on the drive into work I got the dreaded lightning bolt icon with a check Engine Light. I will scan the car when I get home tonight. I turned the car off then on and it went away and drove some what normal but yeah I will figure it out and need be replace the TB. Searched autozone to see the part is around $280 🥴

I did have the battery unconnected for about a hr and a half or so. I did not do a relearn, like where you press the gas pedle slowly over 15 seconds, I will try this when I get home tonight. Wish me luck

My $50 Amazon throttle body has worked perfectly so far. Even were it to last half as long as one from Autozone you're still getting your money's worth.
