I purchased through Crutchfield. The unit was cheaper on amazon but did not include the dash kit, wiring harness or the antenna adapter. Those items were included through Crutchfield. Normally Crutchfield includes the wiring harness for no charge but because of the canbus system (which the rep on the phone said is a pain in the ass for their industry) they gave me 50 % off the cost of the harness. $390 with everything through Crutchfield. Would've been over $400 buying separately. That looks sweet. Thanks for your help. Did you buy it online or at a store? Best Buy ones are really expensive but Amazon had a small selection that state they'd be compatible.
the mic install is easy peasy. just run it under your dash, through the tweeter hole and up your A-Pillar, then mount it on the top. Some people mount the mic on the steering column too.I don't have steering wheel controls. My patriot is a basic model (the sport edition). I'd have to also install a microphone somewhere for the Bluetooth calling capability. Which is why I'm so worried about doing this. There's so much to it :/
