I'm replacing the stock radio today with an Apple Air Play touchscreen. While I'm there, is there any reason I can't splice the fulltime radio 12V hot into the existing cigarette lighter positive (after cutting the lighter from it's existing source) so I have fulltime 12V on the radio and the lighter outlet ?

Concerns ?

Other than draining your battery by leaving something powered up overnight, I doubt it would hurt anything.
