Car cranks but won’t start. Turn off radio to listen if fuel pump switches on while the key is in the on position and it does. Not sure what it could be. Please help!

What year is it, and how old is the battery?

Have you checked for error codes?

TSB 18-017-12 may relate to your vehicle:

Flash: Long Crank Times When Temperatures Between 0 Degrees F and 50 Degrees F
This bulletin involves selectively erasing and reprogramming the Powertrain Control
Module (PCM) with new software.
2011 - 2012 (MK) Compass /Patriot
2011 - 2012 (PM) Caliber
NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicle equipped with a 2.0L engine (sales code ECN)
and a automatic transmission (sales code DAW or DAV) built before May 17,
2012 (MDH 0517XX).
The customer may experience a long crank time when temperatures are between o° F
(-17° C) and 50° F (10° C) after and 8 hour soak time.
In order to correct this condition the PCM calibration has been changed to add cranking
spark and reduce the start fueling.
Updating the software will correct the conditions listed above.
