There hasn't been a lot of coverage on this aspect, but there have been cyber attacks during the virus, the attacks are an attempt to slow our response capability to CV.

The root of the hoarding problem is selfishness. There is nothing prudent about having more than one case of toilet paper in the bathroom closet. It's panic driven by the media.

"I want to be sure I have enough for my family," really means, I want what I want and I want more than my share. Gimme, gimme, gimme! Screw the rest of you.

If people would be rational and considerate there would be no hoarding.

As long as you guys dont have a affordable health system and people don't get a compensation, when to sick to work, people won't stay in and it will spread 10 times more.
Look at the rate of deaths in Bergamo Italy. They wouldn't stay in eather.
Untill now the youngest death case in my country is 63.
Average is 79.
Darwin was right after all.

We don't have an affordable health system? Why we passed the Affordable Care Act only a few years ago. It has had so many benefits that every American is totally thrilled with the super-low insurance premiums and immediate access to the physician of their choice! (ROFLOL) Actually we had a system that worked pretty good and is still managing to survive the Affordable Care Act. They seem to be responding pretty well.

People go to work sick? Clearly you've not tried to run a business in the US. Younger Americans are a very unreliable workforce. They like being in charge but simultaneously flee responsibility. They will skip work at the drop of a hat.

Indeed, this seems to be a virus that only attacks older people with diminished immune systems and those who are already in poor health. Also note that many people handle the infection so easily that they don't know they even have it; for others its no worse than the common cold. In my state only two people have been hospitalized and they are "in stable condition," -- the rest are sleeping it off at home.

We will survive. If history is any indicator, we will be helping other countries get through it, too.

Ok, i'll try to explain.
Overhere everybody (100%) has the same health insurance ($130 per month).
A coronatest is about $30.
A new knee about $1400.
Everybody gets the same treatment.
Everything covered by the insurance.
If you can't work the state gives you a salary. It's about $1400 a month. So everybody has money.
The state pension is at the same level but about 80% of the people have a personal pensioen on top of that.
If you can't work it doesn't cost you you're hollidays (6 weeks a year) but it's covered by an insurance.
On top of that, during the virus period company's have to shut down.
The state is covering 80% of the salary costs.
People get their tax postponed.
People are asked to stay home and still get payed.
Mortgage gets postponed, company's only pay half of the rent.

We don't have dick people denied help, poor people without money, people without jobs without money, is dick people going to work while beiing sick because they can't afford staying home.

Yep, it's a good but expensive system

Italy has the largest elderly population in the EU and the northern part of Italy is a popular ski destitution for tourists from all over the world. The Italians are well known for being very "touchy kissy" with each other, so i'm not surprised the flu spread quickly.

The powers that be are out to destroy our economy and way of life.
They are protecting us from the flu by destroying our economy! It makes no sense, the consequences of the imposed quarantine is worse then the disease. I'm not saying that we shouldn't protect our most vulnerable but what we are seeing is a massive overreaction fueled by the media, certain politicians and big Pharma.

If this was Edola spreading unchecked killing 30% - 40% then okay i get it, shut everything down. but it's not it's just a bad case of the flu and some people are going to die (mostly elderly) it happens very year during the flu season. If you are scared and want to self quarantine then go ahead but don't shut down the entire country over it. IMO a major economic depression is now likely which will kill far more Americans then the corona"lievus".

Is this a test using a variant flu strain as its fear based fuel? To test the compliance of the masses? Testing the effectiveness of the electronic infrastructure, reliance and trust of media, effectiveness of all consumerism via online/delivery? If this was a normal year and this was the flu, things would be running as usual. Only difference here is limited store hours, certain business shutdowns, and more teleworking.

ROFLOL! RBCOOMN (Root Beer Coming Out Of My Nose!). To point out the obvious I don't think President Trump ever trusted the media. I haven't trusted the media since they exploded the Chevy pick-up. I wonder how many stories were exactly that: stories. They have these gimmicks they use. Among my favorites are how the "public" stations start a news story with sound effects as if they are on the scene. A Boston station has another of my favorites: "Reporting live from the newsroom . . ." Live from where??? Live from down the hall on the left! How can anyone take them seriously? They've lied, created stories they wanted and ignored stories they didn't care about.

Now about the present crisis. I have a friend from China who has family there -- not near Wuhan but they knew about it. He was way out in front of this, telling me about the crisis in China weeks before it even got under-reported here. It wasn't about Trump or impeachment so why should the media bother? So they didn't.

The media is looking for a story, an angle to sell for profit. What liberties they take are usually unchecked with reporting taken at face value as people want to believe the media is unbiased.

What Trump did a few days ago to the NBC reporter was justified, as the reporter wanted to get his angle to sell to the public.

If you see the context and what led up to the outburst, the President had just answered the question. There is an already approved medicine that might work -- might work -- he is cautiously optimistic but he realizes it may not be effective and doesn't want to raise false hopes. The reporter asks what to say to scared Americans. What more could he have said than what he'd just said? That poor reporter probably doesn't realize that the president has responsibilities beyond talking to them. The president takes time from his schedule to say what he can. Meanwhile he has people sick and dying, and millions more being laid off, and North Korea, and Iran, and on and on. So for the reporter to waste his time asking to Trump to repeat what he just said simply means he wasn't paying attention. Many people don't listen, they just wait for you to stop talking so they can say what they want to say. IMO that's all that reporter was doing.

Don't call me a Trump fan, but he seems to be handling this as well as possible. People are looking for certainty where there isn't any. He'd be a fool to give false hope or to cause a panic. He's walking a very tight line between the two and there are people who would like to push him off it.

There's no approved medicin. Don't you think if there was that this medicine would be used in Italy today.
630 deaths only today.
People die by choking and they die alone (no family allowed). No burriel allowed with more than 2 loved ones.
Deathrate in Spain is +4000. Italy is even higher at +6000.
Virus specialists talk about a cure to be ready in about 1-2 years.
Only way to beat it now is by having a majority of people who have recovered from the virus and have built up a form of immunity.
Young people and people in great shape yust get a minor flu. Elderly people die by big nrs.
A whole generation gets whiped out.
I really hope it won't hit you guys in the same way but a few of you still believe it's a big joke.
Beware it's not.

Chloroquine and respirating machines are produced in my country. Trump tried to buy everything like he wanted to buy Greenland. The medicin isn't safe enough nor tested on this virus.
The machines are produced by Philips and will be equally devided over the hole world.
