Anyone on here know about the relationship between electricity and rust? I was reading about the restoration of a WW2 ship, and they mentioned that bad electrical grounds are a problem. I quote, "if the hull has stray electric currents in it, it will deteriorate much more quickly than an isolated hull would." Any electrical engineers out there who can address this idea? My knowledge of electricity is pretty much confined to changing flashlight batteries.

However, it does seem that galvanic corrosion in the coolant system can be increased by poor ground connections within the vehicle. Also, there are numerous articles indicating that engineers of electric vehicles are paying attention to proper grounding management.
