Hello-
I like the Patriot, except for when on the highway because of short gearing. I have the 5 speed manual. Has anyone been able to swap a 6 speed from the didge dart into their's? Just starting to look into before needing a clutch at 156k miles... would be a sweet upgrade, and get actual decent mileage. Your thoughts?

I know you've asked about this before, AFAIK it's never been done or attempted.

The closest thing is a CVT to 6AT swap, and there was a lot of work involved in it (see link below):

If you have a lot of time and money to spend I'm sure it could probably be done but if it were me, I'd go find a newer Patriot with a 6AT and trade off the 2007 5 speed before the clutch goes out.

And the 2.4L in the Dart is not the same as the 2.4L in the Patriot, so the Dart transmissions probably won't bolt up.
