Need some help with 4WD! Light on 2010 Jeep Patriot…
4WD! light is on. First checked the fuse box and saw that the fuse was missing. Bought a replacement fuse but once I replaced the fuse and tried driving it, the Jeep would buckle. Not sure what’s wrong and asking for suggestions on next steps. I’ve removed the fuse since and it’s been driving normal, but light is still on.

Check to see if there's something stuck under the switch lever.

It can also happen if something like coffee, soda, etc. was spilled into the switch area and the switch is now stuck.

It can also be caused by a broken wire under the drivers side door jamb trim:

Thank you for replying! Are your referring to the 4WD lock switch? That’s the only one that I can see. I’m going to be cleaning it today. Is the sensor something that I can fix myself or would I have to get a mechanic?
