Hi, we have a 2015 Patriot we are having an intermittent problem when we try to start the vehicle it will not start all the lights come, if we take the key out and try agin it will start fine
we had the battery test it good any help would be appreciated

Does it give you the same problem if you hold it in ACC for a minute before moving it to RUN?

And what do you mean by doesn't start? Turns over but doesn't run? Nothing at all mechanical happens and just the electrical functions?

If the first one, maybe its a fuel pressure/pump problem.

If its the second one it's probably electrical since the whole starting system is computer controlled.

Thanks for the replay that is correct Nothing at all mechanical happens just the electrical functions lights come on, if we take the key out and try again it will start it only has 18,000 Miles, we pulled all the relays also and they are fine no corrosion

Ik would check the battery in you're key fob.
Looks like it's down or the signal doesn't come through.
There's a chip in that thing and it doesn't get recognised
Do you have a spare key ?

Only 18,000 miles? Should be under warranty. Let the dealership worry about it.

Thanks, we did replace the battery key fob it did not help, it's not under warranty anymore only 3 Years or 36,000, we did notice if we rotate the key 180 degrees it starts
