I'm not offering to fix it, but for the otherwise nice vehicle you've got, why not fix the TB? I paid about $500 and that was from a dealer. Probably get it done for less at a local shop, and DIY for maybe half that.

I’m just tired of it. It’s got too much unneeded electronics and the ergonomics are all wrong. I’ve fixed bad grounds, wheel position sensors, transmission computers, and sensors. The mystery 4 whee drive stopped working, then just started again. It’s an electrical nightmare. I’m buying something like a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee where when something goes wrong, I can just reach in the toolbox and grab the socket wrenches and fix it.. or better yet just ignore it because it’s a solid frame, solid front axle, engine made out of sweat, and iron, and solid clunky gears that pull you up out of ditches!
