Well what can I say? I had to have my windscreen replaced through my insurance company last week as a result of two stone chips which were too big to be repaired. Everything's as good as new now but I wondered how bad the problem of stones bouncing up from the car in front and chipping the windscreen is for Jeep owners.

I was speaking to a Range Rover owner who forks out £100s every few months on stone chips and Land Rover told her it was because the car was so high etc etc.

I am glad you were able to get it fixed. Mine was only 2 months old when this happened and I was sick. Funny, it seems to happen when they are new. Hope that's it now.

Yeah I,ve had more widscreen damage with all the 4x4s that I have owned, I think its because of the boxy shape, the missiles hit full on instead being deflected by the greater slope of regular shaped windscreens
