  1. Jeep Patriot General Discussion
When driving on a snowy/icy surface, my Patriot's brakes will rumble like an earthquake and the pedal with bounce up and down and I am unable to push it in all the way. Is this normal or is there something wrong?
  2. Suspension and Tires
I have a 2011 Patriot and the stock Wranglers that came with it (purchased used last year) have worn out. I am looking for a good All season that preforms well in the snow. Unfortunately price will have to be factored in. Looking at spending 120-ish per tire. P216 65R17's

Hey Guys! Hopefully this is the right place to post this. I'll be going up to tahoe in a few weeks and I think the trail still requires us to carry tire chains even though we have 4x4s. Any recommendations on what kind of chains to buy? Brand or a direct link would really help. I have the...

I'm planning on buying a Jeep Patriot Sport/North Edition (4x4) tomorrow (if everything goes to plan), but I was wondering...just how well do they fare in Southern Ontario winter driving? I'm not about trails and nature treks. I'm more about getting from point A to point B, and find that the...
  6. Interior
I am in the process of seeking out roof racks for my 2014 Jeep Patriot so that I can haul my snowboards etc. Does anyone have any recommendations on good racks? I am interested in purchasing THULE (as I am swedish). Do you know where the cheapest place to get a THULE rack system? Any help or...

Got our first snow of the year today and thought it would be cool to have a place for everyone to upload their snowy pictures.
  8. Suspension and Tires
So Chicago got its first substantial snowfall. I was excited to for it so I could actually take the Blizzaks for a real test. Up until now they have handled fine, however there is a softness to them which I expected because I read about the softer compound they use for winter tires. This...
  9. Jeep Patriot General Discussion
I just bought the bare-bones Patriot Sport and was wondering how far you think I can push the FWD version off-road without getting into trouble? I normally just go camping in my old Saturn sedan but now that I am seeing all of the pictures on this forum of the Patriot going through mud and snow...
  10. Suspension and Tires
Just ordered the Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V1s Got the 225/65/17 size. I've never had snow tires before, so I am interested to see how they handle compared to the typical all season tires I have driven on in every winter since I have had a car. I will probably buy a new set of wheels/tires...
  11. Jeep Patriot General Discussion
Okay this website has seen it's fair share of Patriot vs Forester posts, and we all know it. My question is how similar are the all wheel drive systems on the Subaru and the FD1? I have been watching a lot of videos of first and second generation Foresters negotiating rough terrain such as deep...
  12. Jeep Patriot General Discussion
Hey guys I have a small request for you. I live in Syracuse, NY, and when winter sets in here we get snow...REAL SNOW. We get an average of 121" of snow each winter and they are predicting a bad one this year. This also happens to be my first winter with my Pat. So here is the request, Could...
  13. Jeep Patriot General Discussion
My Patriot came with the SR-As. I admit they wore fast but seemed to perform well in the upstate NY season. I tired the Good Year Comfort Tread (or maybe triple tread... can't remember) but those were HORRIBLE on my Jeep. A different tire dealer said they should have never been put on a Jeep...
