The 2020 Grand Cherokee is more classic look than compass , not much, it just has a slightly more appealing look to me, starting at 32 k. For now id rather pay less so Compass, so the appealing look isnt worth the extra 10 k to me, currently.

Hey there, how are you ?? how is compass holding up? any issues?

Patriot is doing well, I had major work done, I wrote about briefly on here , 1700$, and just hit 120,000 miles. One more major repair and she may have to go lol and shes still serving me. Definitely out of all the SUV/CUv's ive looked at on a more inexpensive budget , say 25 k or less starting price, used compass looks like a winner right now

    Hi, John!

I'm not sure how much longer my Patriot will be around. Wife really wants to go back to a Wrangler. I may keep it if I can't get enough $$ for trade-in.

My second Compass has no problems at all. It gets better fuel economy than our Patriot, 34-35MPG on a long trip. According to my EVIC I've gotten 31.8 MPG since I've owned it. I'd say that's very good for a vehicle that size.

Update. Bullwinkle our Patriot will stay! Trade-in value was zilch. Wife ordered a Wrangler to lease but it's probably 1-2 months away. I've got two sets of snow tires for the Patriot, a year left on one set and probably 2 years left on the other set.

Deep in my heart I like the Patriot more than the Compass -- it's just more jeep-like. The Compass is more of a tall car.

Looks like a win as well since you got a 2019 compass that doesn't burn oil. Glad you came out unharmed and well.

It got totaled in July. Gal hit me on the right front corner. Set off 6 airbags so insurance company wasted the vehicle. No serious injuries. I replaced it with a 2019. The 2018 burned oil. Got 1000 miles/qt.. Improved 3000/quart. My 2019 doesn't use any. I've averaged 33,4 MPG overall according to the EVIC. I miss my Patriot but I've got Wifey's in the stable so I still have a Patriot to play around with.

You're welcome. I realized you weren't on my friend list and realized how much of your posts have helped me. One of your threads convinced me that a fwd is good offroad and glad I get one. Im curious to how what us Jeep Patriot fans even think about getting as our next ride. I'm not overthinking it though, and just enjoying the moment and living in it

Hey, I actually traded in my Patriot last February so that's probably when I disappeared. I just remembered this account so I figured I'd log in to delete it! Haha

I did. I did. (hangs head in shame)

I didn't mean to. (like a groomed poodle in a Victorian doggie cone necklace)

I JUST got myself UNLOCKED. Apparently something weird happened to the site and now there's all these ads and weirdness. Can't say how long I'll stay. I'm writing a book and I have a few speaking engagements coming up. Hugs and Thanks, Brother!

Andi's still stock BUT hopefully not for long.
