Just pull straight up on it. Takes a bit of hoss to get off and I will warn you to be careful since I ended up busting my lip when the thing finally came off and my hand flew into my lip

I have the CVT and the shifter knob pulled right off, you really gotta pull though. I noticed you have the manual trans, dunno for sure if they pull off too.

Yes. Just give it a mighty yank! I replaced mine with a round knob. Something I can wrap my fingers underneath. If need be, you can run a 1/2" fine, die over it. It is hard as heck to get it started though. The rod is chromed and the top of it has a flat side.

I wonder how many Pat owners have placed a black 8-ball shifter know, or a skull knob on yet

It's from the Compass and it's part 5273590AB.

shift grenade

I have an 8 ball shift knob on my CJ-7, but I was looking for something different for "Sarge". In keeping with the theme and the colour of our Patriot named Sarge, I purchased an inert WWII hand grenade which I am going to thread onto my shift rod.

I want to change the horrid rubber gear lever gaiter. So I have to remove the gear knob. I have pulled and pulled but no joy. Could be I'm just weak or I don't want to break something.

I THINK I just ordered that one from the mopar website. Unfortunately, it didn't have any part numbers so I can't be sure. It was from the 2007 Compass parts catalog and was around $13.

there is a tab you have to push down on, then it pops off with no effort, as for the mopar accessory knob, it wont fit the manual trans, neither will the auto one.

Suck,Squeeze,Bang,Blow. Repeat
