Question Converting 4x2 to 4x4?

Hey, i was poking around in junkyards and i've seen a few totaled out 4x4 patriots.

If you pull the tranny and rear end, possibly the computer could you in fact get a 4x4?

I just got on here and I'm not 100% on how to navigate yet, but I really am interested in trail rating my little wagon.
EDIT: I have a 2017 Jeep Patriot (sport?) No special package.

It would be cheaper to sell your 2wd, and buy a 4wd. By A LOT.

This is probably the best option.
The FWD has different exhaust routing too I believe.

Basically youll just be running into one thing after another until its finally done, then hopefully it works.

Truckin' the bread all over your @$$!

Agree.

And since it's a 2017, whatever is left of the warranty will be voided.
