fog lamps upgrade

Has anyone upgraded/retrofitted their 2015 Patriot fog lamps to a brighter (LED?) lamp?

I'm looking for something SIGNIFICANTLY BRIGHTER (farther down the road) than the stock fog lights that are in use now.

thanks in advance

I put these bulbs in my Pat and they look great:

Something to note though, those lights are designed as FOG lights, not DRIVING lights. No matter how bright of bulbs you put in there, they are not going to throw light very far down the road, the reflectors and lenses are not designed for that.

HID's my friend.

And if you do any of these things, he will send you to a special place, of burning and fire and smoke and torture and anguish for you to live forever, and suffer and burn and scream until the end of time. But he loves you. He loves you and he needs money.

I saw these at 2400/2800 lumens. Will they draw too much/more current than the fog lamp a'y can provide? Or are they overkill?

I've been running those LED bulbs in my fog lights for over a year with no issues whatsoever, so I can safely say that they do not draw too much power.

They are a lot brighter than the original incandescent bulbs, but I have used them in dense fog, and also white-outs and they worked very nicely, enabling me to see better but without blinding me with glare.

They also perfectly match the color of my LED headlights.

I had originally wanted to use HIDs instead of LEDs, but was never able to get them working flicker free. I tried relay harnesses, resistors, error-cancellers, you name it, and they just never worked for me. I do know that others have gotten HIDs to work properly, but they just didn't work for me.

I'm very happy with my LEDs.

Yup, no flicker for me.
No HID's will not melt plastic, they output less heat than your OEM halogens.
Any brand will do.
