Suspension

Hi,
I have a Patriot 2009 on a 59 plate first registered in November 2009 and i have had a lot of problems with the suspension / sub frame. I have had both the front and back suspension / sub frame break and my mechanic has told me the car is very rusty underneath , I have recently been told that this is a known problem with the jeeps and are under an extended 10 year guarantee , my question is , is this correct and who do i contact and how do i go about getting the problem sorted out , I have really lost all confidence in my Jeep and there reputation for being a good strong work horse

Yes, there is an extended warranty.

Send member JeepCares a PM with your VIN and they should be able to tell you if you're still covered.

Its a 10 year extended warranty for the original owner. Looks like you're cruising in right under the wire.

Not all Patriots have this problem. Mine was rock solid after 10 NH winters, and this was my snow car.

Beware of dealers covering the frame but selling you a pile of other work at the same time.

Hi Sue Baigent,
I'd be happy to look into this for you if you'd like to send us a private message with your VIN and current mileage.
