they are significantly brighter then the stock bulbs :P i am pleased with the light output. Although i was told, from a female perspective, that the blue light is not good for applying makeup hahaha, but other then that, i have no complaints

I changed my interior to the clear LEDs but after seeing yours, I might just change colors.

I've heard of people "dremeling" out the correct shape, but that seems like a lot of work with minimal margins for error :/ and then you wire in another socket and pop it in..... FYI, I'm addicted to bright lights.... :P I'm just slowly starting out now :P
I'm planning on adding Lights to my taillights in the blanks as you described. Im planning on using these LED HideAways they are more of an emergency vehicle light (which is why i'm installing them). But they could be wired to add onto your Brake or Reverse Lights but not the Running lights, I've also been told to match the colour of the LED to the colour lense housing. so Red for Red and White for Clear. They just drill a 1" hole in the place where the blank is no "fiddley dremeling".

You should open that thing for business as a mobile tanning booth....Then get some willing ladies to take their clothes off and get inside.

looks good with the blue lights - good touch! Any updates on the turn signals? Good input from Croat on the resistors...keep us posted on that front.

JamesNewJeep, I like where you're heads at, my man :-)

Yea you can buy them online for $5-10 each in a fancy aluminum housing (not needed) plus shipping ..... or simply go to the local radio shack to get em for a fraction of the price.

Also I prefer the white LED's as its a crisp bright light.

The ones I got for the landrover are even brighter.

to anyone with fairly good electrical knowledge.... would the 3757 bulb type with 4 wires, as apposed to 3 wires on the 3157 which i was told would fit, is the only difference between the 3757 and the 3757a socket the little side tabs? because 3757 tabs are centered, our 3757a are offset to each other.... so if i dremel off the tabs on the 4wire type bulb, will it work the same?

A 3757 and 3157 are interchangeable. Just like all of my landrovers bulbs were the European counterparts of the 1156/1157 and they work just fine.

even though the 3157 is 3 wires/contacts as apposed to 4 wires/contacts on 3757? ill take a picture of the bulbs i have for the signals tonight... if they are interchangeable i could just dremel off the tabs to make it fit

Yes - anyone selling bulbs will claim both are interchangeable as well as with 3057, etc. Some care you need to take a tab off the bulb for fitment but on my old dodge which took 3757's I converted them to 3157's without prob's. Here is one of the hundreds of testimonial write ups on it - but do not buy those bulbs

so i guess the only difference between the stock 3757a bulb and the aftermarket 3157 bulb is the 3757a has 2 negative contacts and the 3157 only has one? also the 3757a lock tabs are positioned differently :P ill take some pictures tonight, if i get the chance, and upload them to show u the difference
