Broken Shifter Knob. Got any recommendations on a replacement?

Hey all,

So today I was driving down the road just like normal. I shifted and when I took my hand off the shifter knob the little plastic chrome cap came off with it. Upon further inspection I noticed that the plastic pieces that hold it in place are broke clean off. See Pictures. Well anyway I taped it back on for now until I can get some super glue but I figured I would just take the knob breaking as a sign that it needs replaced. I was wondering if anyone else has replaced their shifter knob and how you went about it.

anyone know how the shifter knob comes off? does it pull off or twist off? might take mine off and paint the top black.

I threaded the shaft and used a screw on knob that is spherical and about the size of a pool ball.

I have a factory 5 speed shifter handle if anyone wants it. It will never fit back on my car.

Yeah I glued it back on so that will probably work for now. Im still on the look out for a replacement though. The grenade shifter is cool but I am looking for something a little more low key. The knob pulls off so I don't know what to do for a replacement.

Maybe something like this:

My 2010 Pat the shift knob WOULDNT COME OFF. When I added the switch for my auxillary lights, I could not get it off. I pulled like a SOB and nothing. Though, I discovered that it did not need to.

Yeah it seems like right when you think that pulling the knob off is impossible the thing pops off. So no one has replaced their shifter knob without threading the shifter shaft?
