Seat - Plastic Side Panel... Warranty?

Hello:

Just curious... I was wondering if you think that the plastic side piece on the bottom of the Driver's seat cushion would be covered under the 36 month/36k mile warranty. It appears the plastic trim has broken away from the framing of the seat and now there is wear on the fabric part of the vinyl seat.

If it not covered by the warranty, anyone have an idea of the price to repair that (probably replace that plastic panel? I think I need to replace it because the fabric wear looks like it will eat through in very short order without that panel holding things in place.

Mine in the Patriot has not broken however the one in my 2006 Dodge Charger broke THREE OOR FOUR times and all times was covered under warranty. The last time however they ended up drilling a hole in it and screwing it into the frame.

We have a 2011 Patriot and the plastic piece broke off the panel on the passenger side front seat; this piece clips over the metal frame on the bottom of the seat. Sounds similar to what you had happen PipeTobacco. Any ideas?
