I just put on some Michelin LTX A/T2 245/65R17 = 29.53 diameter and 9.76 wide. I have a 2" Rocky- Road lift. These tires look awesome on the jeep it completes the look I was wanting. These tires do ever so slightly rub in a full hard turn on the inside of the fender wells which I will correct when I get time. No other rubbing when flexing. I will get you guys some pictures of it when I get back from my trip. I am leaving for a ski trip in Colorado tomorrow.

goebel1, Ya gota love the road grime. It makes it look like a real Jeep, not a show car like most other pictures here. That lookes like a real nice tire/wheel combo.

goebel1, what did the tires run you? I am considering the same setup as you, I like to over all look of the AT and want to keep them on the stock rims. I already have the lift and now looking at which tires to put on, also how is the road noise with the new tires? is there a big difference? and last could you get a full pic of your Jeep just trying to get an over all feel for the look, but I like what you've choosen so far.

CJs70Riot I got them from the tire store online. None of the tire dealer has them in stock. This is a new tire that Michelin just put out. I Paid 680.00 for them and 40.00 to mount and balance them. The tires are extremely quite and stick well on dry payment...and in ice and snow. I put them to the test in Winter Park in Colorado this past week.

Did you get the chance to test your tires in ice n' snow at Colorado yet? How was the handling and most importantly stoping? Tell everything about road handling:smiley_thumbs_up:

Our patriot is still sailing atlantic sea, but in three weeks time i'll need GOOD winter/allseason tires for it, normaly used bfg at:s but, unfortunately no available size for me now from that company...

The tires just lightly rub on the plastic inner fender wells. I plan to see what I can do this weekend just haven’t had time to look at it closely. The tires I have knobs on the sides. The knobs are what are rubbing but if you don’t fully hard lock the steering wheel it doesn’t rub at all.

goebel1, I figured I would move over here to discuss your 245 tires further. Is it possible for one more photo possibly of the tires turned all the way in so it rubs. I want to see how much room there is on the outside edge of the tire. I am seriously considering 245's now since the 235's I want are on back order from the manufacturer and the 245's are still in stock.

The amount of rub doesn't look too bad and if there is enough room to offset this with some small say 1/4' wheel spacers and longer studs it would be something to consider.

What are your thoughts?

Yes I do like the tires still no wear and have about 15,000 miles on them. The only way to fix the rubbing is t get off set rims and I am not going there. The rubbing does not bother me in fact I have learn not to hard lock....it hardly ever rubs maybe turning in a tight parking spot.

Thats one thing I thought about... How often do I actually hard lock? To be honest I can't think of anytime I have had too... but when I mount mine if they rub I may buy some 1/4" spacers or so to try to eliminate the rub. Guess we'll find out later today... 1100 I am headed to the bay to mount the tires.

Don't know about you, but I <heart> my turning radius... :) I would hate anything that makes my Jeep less nimble than it is.

Have you tried those new tires on uneven terrain? I seem to recall someone mentioning about 245 wide tires rubbing during full flex, or something like that.
