Next Generation Patriot;
Maybe make this a sticky thread if it grows wings. We all know there will be a replacement in Jeep's entyr level segment. The Patriot will be replaced at some time. Or not. Fiat has upgraded the Pat with a new tranny this year. And possibly some body upgrades. The next gen. Jeep thread is covering the Italian born cuv but there are two discussions going on. Any discussion about the Italian Jeep stays on the other thread. Any news on the next generation Pat is discussed here. Chrysler tells us that there is exciting news coming very soon about the next Pat. When I drive by the Belvidere plant, I notice a lot of buzz going on there. Kind of fun watching all this unfold. The next Pat will have 6 speed conventional auto. Pretty sure you all know our cvt is also 6 speed. Put it in manual you will see. What I like about our cvt is that the rpms are at low 2000s when going 70 mph. That's a good number. Anyway if you have any spy shots of the new Pat bring it.

From what I read should hear something next month. Looks like the new tranny is coming sooner than we realize. Anyone who drives by Belvider will notice a lot going on.

On an icy hill in winter I like how the CVT does not do a hard downshift. As long as the tranny is durable, I like it.

Who knows what Fiat has planned. All I know is that the new tranny can be fitted asap. The cvt is probably around not for long and by Spring the next Pat should be in place. Or not. It's Fiats call
