Chrome Hood Latches

I was wondering if it's possible to add a pair of hood latches (for a TJ ) from Smittybilt or Mopar on the fenders of the Patriot ?
Looks awesome I think, don't you?

I know I have some drilling to do but that's no problem I guess.
Someone over here with such a crazy idea or even did it?

Maybe it will stop the vibrations from the faulty latch system they have.

It has been done. I know I've seen the thread on this topic long time ago. I'll search for it and see if I can find it.

I like the idea of that but having them at the back of the hood looks weird. But it would keep that problem from reocurring. I dunno. I'd like a more stock looking one but still his works. I'ma keep it in mind.

Yesterday I got my hood latches sended from NY!
It's a little bit cold outside so it will take a while...to install them.
Unfortunately I bought black ones... Chrome looks much better I think.
They come on the right spot btw.

IMO black would look better unless you have a lot of chrome on your Pat lol

Kenny-G, I think you're right! There are a few silverpainted details on the Pat like the roofrails and the doorprotectors so the chrome would be too blinky?!
Maybe I can make them silver....or not

But guys, it will take a while because it's cold in this little country and we have the snow so my son keeps me bizzy by pulling the sled around the block....tied on the hitch!

Yea when it comes in you might be able to paint it silver who knows

& @ Creation, his Pat is blue. In his sig pic his headlights and fogs look tinted yellow. I dunno if it's an affect or tint lol

Ehhh, the 'blue' is Deep Water Blue Pearl! My colour

Btw, trade your Galaxy S III for a Galaxy Note N-7000 -> bigger screen !!
