I guess you are not the target but the people who leaved the lot without a Pat because they didnīt liked the Patriot 07-08 interior.

Reread the old reviews and in most you will find that they complain about the interior material/quality.
This should be fixed now.

Itīs hard to tell but are the 2 tone doors back like the 07 model ?

Is it only me or is the open glovebox different from the current one? It doesnīt look so deep.

Seems that the headrests are the same. Hey did you know that they were just rated good in a british insurany backend crashtest?

BTW:un4gtbl i found this in the news and rumor forum.
Have to completely disagree with almost all the avove. The Jeep is supposed to look more utilitarian, manly, and retro.

The round look of the vents and dash look sissified. Not to mention you will have to completely clashing styles going on in one vehicle. Yuck.

Until I actually see one in a patriot it does just look like they photoshopped the compass interior into the patriot.

The reviews for the most part do not knock the styling of interior at worst they call it utilitarian. They do sometimes knock the build quality and materials, but your pictures do nothing to show that might have changed or not.

I personally think the compass is god aweful ugly inside and out, but as long as they keep it seperated I don't see a problem. If they start bringing styling ques over from the compass to the patriot that is going to far and where I have big problems with Jeep. Keep that eyesore away from the Patriot. The sales figures speak for themselves. The compass is the less popular aesthetic value even with a year head start over the patriot.

Sorry Compass people, your vehicle is fine as long as it stays in your vehicle.

Something here doesn't add up (leaked before it was finished?). The center armrest in one pic is the same as the outgoing models complete with the integrated ipod holder (which they said was discontinued due to customer feedback).

It doesn't look like the initial renderings we saw a while back either.

They have a leak!

Definately the bottom picture is an 07 with an 09 dash pasted in it. as Rends said "are they bringing back 2 tone door panels like 07 "lol notice also the door lock is not recessed like the top one.

Looks like the opening above the glove box is wider and it almost looks like it it has a non-slip material there, but it's hard to tell.
The changes don't seem significant enough to care too much, I'd still like to see one once they show up on the lots here.
I remember when the Jeep logo used to be that white on my floor mats....

What a nice new interior... Just what I wanted so that the trade-in value of my '07 Limited will be next to nothing.

As far as the material/quality thing goes. Its still the same Chrysler plastic, just poured into a different mold with some foam glued to it. I dont read many reviews as far as what people think of comfort and what have you. I liked it, its what i expected from a Jeep. I wasnt expecting a lexus with what I was paying for it. I see where youre coming from that a lot of people complain about the "cheapness" of the interior, but the fact is you can sprinkle enough glitter on a turd and it will look good Its still the same stuff, just in a new package. And it still looks like a Stratus

I didnt have a problem with the look of the old dash, just the quality of the material. utilitarian is one thing sure, my 2001 dodge ram is very utilitarian so much in fact the dash is busted in about 5 places...appears to be the same quality plastic in the jeep. The truck is babied and NOTHING is placed on the dash...I guess dust and air are heavy.

We have owned auite a few 90s Chryslers and NEVER had an issue with the dash busting, in fact we still have my brothers 99 Dakota (similar interior to the ram) and have had 0 interior problems, no dash cracking, not even squeaks or rattles.Of course thegine and transmission have been rebuilt (oh, the engine became a 426 stroker and the transmission was rebuilt to handle the extra power with kevlar clutchers and stronger parts ).

Anywho, I do not really feel the new interior, seems more generic somehow. i am another that didn't have the problem with the old interior, then again i have never understood the big deal. ALL interiors are made of plastic, even if they have a layer of foam on top and I never pet my dashboard so i don't understand the big deal of a soft touch dashboard, I do understand the soft center armrest though, even though i don't have a problem with the one in the Patriot myself.

first, they didn't "photoshop" the interior of a COMPASS into a PATRIOT' it's a picture (photoshopped or not) of a COMPASS and it was compared to a current pic of the PATRIOT. someone comparing apples to oranges.

second, have you even LOOKED at the inside of the current COMPASS? IT'S EXACTLY THE SAME AS A PATRIOT!!! so if you think the Compass is 'aweful ugly inside', then YOUR PATRIOT must be the same.

since i WORK in a Mopar parts dept, i know this to be a fact.....94-01 Ram dashes have a tendency to crack...and crack BAD. i'm sure it's only a vendor issue, which may be why one of Mopar's vendors for plastic interior trim parts went 'belly up', causing a huge back-order on those parts. one of the rumors is that Chrysler refused to pay them unless they addressed their quality issue and after 7 years, they finally STOPPED PAYING THEM. we have one door trim panel that's been on order since JUNE and has an ETA of NOVEMBER 20TH!!!!

but back to the issue at hand; while the Rams DO have dash issues, can't say that one other model has had a similar problem. sure beats those days from back in the late 60's and 70's, huh?
