@ chedavera; I'm trying to make that first pic our FB pages cover photo but for some reason while at work ImageShak photos don't work for me (DoD computers block so much crap its ridiculous) so it'll have to wait a little while

Thanks! I was gonna submit that picture for patriot of the month, but I have since installed a RRO kit and got fatter tires. So I am going to take some newer pictures on the same off road trail this spring.

The roof basket definitely kicks ass. I usually put it on in the spring and take it of in the fall. It comes in handy for bush camping when you have a Wife, gear, and 2 dogs. That blue box I have crammed in the basket was the first and last time I put that up there. The CVT hates that kind of **** on the highway. Only flatter things up there now!

Yea...when I had mine uptop still my cross bars "feet" touched the roof when fully tightened down and vibrated the hell out of my Pat. It was so bad it's not even funny! I havent been able to cut all the feet down enough yet since I dont have the proper tools to do that but eventually it'll be going up there for good when me snd the gf get married and she moves out here to be with me cause I wont make long trips as often as I currently do.

Anyways, yea as soon as it'll work for me it'll be on our FB page.

It's JeepPatriot.com. if you just type in "Jeep" in the top it's the one with the green Patriot climbing a hill as it's profile pic. It says "Recreation/Sports Website" and has 111 likes at the moment

I live in the town of Dundas close to Hamilton. But the pics were taken north of Belleville close to Bancroft. There is no shortage of trails to explore in those parts!

Not really off road but good to know

Tested my FDI Pat yesterday. We have a hill on our driveway that is about 20 degrees in slope. Went off to the side and the two right tires were in ~6" of snow and the left were on hard packed snow almost like ice. All 4 tires spun but wasn't able to gain any forward ground. Backed up a bit turned ESP all the way off, 4x4 lock, and gave it some gas and made it right up without a problem. Mind you, I've never been able to get up this hill at a stop with an '06 F-250 diesel in 4wd, '10 F-150 with Limited slip differential in 4wd, a '12 Ford Explorer(with fancy snow mode) or a '11 Silverado with locking rear diff in 4wd. This is truly the most 4x4 capable affordable stock vehicle ever created!
