How can we improve Patriot of the Month???
I think if we did that we would have to be able to open the poll up to a few more entries if possible. Which could work out seeing as we're starting to see more and more people entering.

Idk about that. It'd just show that a ton of votes were given but there isn't a limit of how many votes anyone can receive so I don't think opening up the poll by much would be beneficial. Maybe ask a Admin to push it to 30 or 35 but I think that's enough.

It's hard for me to look through the entries, and vote, the way they are now. Some times I have to scroll through a lot of comments, before I get to the next entry, and after several of those I start to forget the first ones. Would be nice to see all on one page, if possible.

^ Agreed. I'm thinking we need to start doing that.

I don't know if it was already posted in this thread or not, but I don't think people who have already won should be able to win again. Out of all the automotive forums I've been a member of that do this, this is the first I've seen that allow repeat winners.

^ Well it's because 2012 was the first full year that POTM was completed and was really dead/slow for the first several months of the year but so far in the last 6 months or so it's exploded so now I think we could or should implement that winners cannot enter again for the next 6 months? Then have a list of the last 6 month's winners so they know when they can enter again.

Don't you think that by prohibiting previous winners to re-enter within the same year is going to kill any sort of competition and/or participation?
Now it seems the contest became more of the Picture of the Month. Back in the days the following factors were considered for winning: mods done to a Patriot, member's contribution to the forum and of course the picture itself. Now any stock Patriot with some awesome background can win a POTM. |

I agree, a one year wait after winning is a good idea. Share the wealth baby!

When people like you who have loved and heavily modified Pat's continue to win others would be more pressed to buy stuff for theirs and hit trails or the road. In the end more and more people will get stuff and show off but for now we have a "baby boomers" generation (so to speak) of new 2011-2013 Pat's poping up on the forum (myself included) who havent had their Jeeps' for very long to modify them as heavily as some of you first gen pat owners. My last comment, sorry , restricting it to where you win, say, Jan's then you can't enter again until April would allow other members to get in on the action and then when you come back in (more than likely) you'd get a lot of votes again and possibly win but others could still have a chance!

You gotta earn it and not simply eliminate the competition

I think Fail's Patriot deserves more credit than he receives. He has definitely stepped out of the box with his mods. Sent from AutoGuide.com App |

How can we improve Patriot of the Month???
I'm not saying for the entire year. Just 2 or 3 months. Otherwise it'd be so easy for yourself to go out with your tricked out Pat and get a great scenery shot with your great Jeep and win every single month. Luckily we have nice Pats on here who love to enter every month so that doesn't happen lol

Re: How can we improve Patriot of the Month???
I almost won once, and ultimately lost to FWD by a vote (he absolutely deserved it). Since then the votes just tapered off, and I don't have much more to offer for pictures around this area

How can we improve Patriot of the Month???
I'm not saying I should win every month, absolutely not. I'm saying POTM used to be an award not just for a great picture but also contribution to the forum and mods to one's Patriot. For example, remember member Joey who won POTM with his lifted FDII and KM2's? Well, since then we haven't heard from him. On the other hand, FWD is busting his ass off both within the forum and with his Patriot. Who do you think I'm going to vote for?

agreed........ I think people should be pretty active on the site before going in and winning POTM. I do like the "you can't win again next month" kinda like no tag backs.... Plus for me, I will need a month or two to get out and get some good pictures again. I have no plans for march yet... which is a problem.
