I went with the AVS "stick on type" #94359 and i think they look very good.I actually like the look of the in-channel vent visors better since they are lower profile but i didnt want any unforseen problems with the window functionality in the future that this style may cause so i bought the stick on type.
Please note-- my AVS package these came in said they only fit 07-10 Patriot but i just put them on my 2011 and there were no problems and went on in about 30min including alcohol prep time. These vents DO come with alcohol prep wipes. One other thing, these vents are NOT trimmed very well from the factory and some of the edges are uneven but i only notice this because i work in a plastics/fiberglass factory.

AVS 94359 "stick on"Vent visor on a 2011 Jeep Patriot--

Its about 15 degrees here and i got tired of seeing these visors sitting in the garage waiting for a warm day,so i called one of my buddies that has a heated shop so i could get these things put on.

That's why I put mine in the basement. I don't go down there a lot so I don't have to be tortured by looking at the boxes. My motorcycle on the other hand, that tortures me every time I go into the garage.

Is it noticeable and have any effect oon the appearance and installation? did you smooth it out with a sander? All in all are you happy with the purchase?

This is why my 5 TJ Rubicon wheels are locked away in a closet in my dorm so I don't have to stare at them and want to buy tires before I should haha "out of sight, and out of mind" as they say

I've got the same ones. Question: Is it just the one tab(left side) of the back vent that is inserted into the window track and the right tab is stuck on the outside of the frame? If you slide your finger from left to right between the visor and the glass you will notice the gap gets wider. AVS did not design the vent to take this into account.

It has no effect on installation. The poor uneven trimming will probably not ever be noticed by anyone. Not even the person who buys them will probably notice it.Like i said,i only notice it because i work in a plastics/fiberglass factory making auto parts. So this is something i see EVERYDAY! I would buy them again. The tape is SUPER SUPER sticky,so make sure you got them where you want them because you aint gonna get them off once you get them on.Best bet is to mock them up to the window first and use a crayon to outline where they go so you dont mount them in bad position since youll never be able to get them off again. Also make sure you do it in above 50 degree temps outside so the tape can stick.

Will the outside style mess up the paint when yu have to remove them later on? Just wondering before I fork out the money. Thanks in advance.

They stick on type are not meant to ever be removed. I have read that some people have removed them after a couple years and they didnt have any paint problems but it was a complete pain to take them off and i cant recall why they took them off to begin with either.I have also read that after many years,if a person decides to take theirs off,the old tape leaves some type of nasty residue on the vehicle paint that seems to be unremovable. In that case, the person just recovered the nasty residue back over with another set of visors. They may have removed them because their original visors were cracked and needed replaced perhaps?
