DANGER!!!!!!!
For some odd reason for the first time I get this warning when I go to the jeep patriot forum.
Danger: Malware Ahead! Google Chrome has blocked access to this page on www.jeeppatriot.com. Content from cm.netseer.com, a known malware distributor, has been inserted into this web page. Visiting this page now is very likely to infect your Mac with malware. Malware is malicious software that causes things like identity theft, financial loss, and permanent file deletion. I use Ad Block within chrome to stop all of the garbage even before I hit the page. It's great, it blocks all of the Ad's and increases the page load by 5x

No Script and AdAware remove unwanted ads.
What the Google alert is telling you (or the alert from your anti-virus program) is that malicious software has been associated with this site. If that is in fact the case No Script and AdAware are doing nothing. for those of you without proper anti-virus and up to date and functioning firewalls I suggest downloading Malwarebytes, a free program, and doing a scan. Then run CCleaner, also free, and get your updates from Microsoft and use your protection!!! I run Avast and the Windows 7 Microsoft security tools and scan with CCleaner and Malwarebytes once a week and both have seen nothing and have nothing on my machine...ever. Including no ads as I do use AdBlockPlus with a greasemonkey script or two. If you have seen any messages concerning this attack I strongly urge you to get MalwareBytes and run it.

It's okay, John. If you were here with me now, I'd give you a very long and large hug. I'd listen to you. Hear you out. Discuss potential solutions for the problems we've got. I feel like after such a session you'd feel better, perhaps even "good," but either way, I just wanna reach out to you on this sad, sad afternoon. Chin up, John! Let's get through this. |
