Freedom Edition - Impressions/Thoughts?

Hey guys, I was down at the local Jeepery this morning and saw a new True Blue 4x4 Freedom Edition and I have to say...wow!

This thing is sweet looking with the charcoal rims, and it includes the all weather capability group/sun sound pkg/security conv. pkg as stand equipment.

It comes in white and red also, but I have not seen those in person yet. It includes that gimmiky star vinyl thing on the hood which I personally would remove immediately.

What do you guys think? I love the altitude edition, but man this one is pretty sweet.

***Quick note: I went and did the math on the savings you get with the package and if you add the 3 packages that make up the Freedom edition seperately, it rings up at $2,785, whereas the Freedom pkg itself costs only $1,815, so you save $970 with the bundle.

I like the black altitude wheels better, and those emblems are quite tacky imo.

X2. I'll take the altitude over the freedom. Even with the gross chrome accents.

Did they kill off the Altitude edition? I have seen some 2013s on the lot with the pkg, but Jeep no longer lets you option it in the builder.

Isn't that the point of "limited editions"? You know.... to be "limited"?

Right, I just meant I was surprised to see it even optional with any 2013s since it was introduced for 2012. I figured it wouldnt be available at all on the 13s.

Personally, I like the Freedom edition.. The only thing I don't really care for is the decal on the hood. It does make the Patriot stand out from all of the other ones on the road.

Great find! I like it! De-badge it and call it a day. Really like the wheels!

No it's just FD1. The all weather group that's bundled with the freedom pkg includes them, along with all weather mats, engine heater, OWLs, daytime lights, etc. No skid plates though.

I think the Freedom door badge is an atrocity. Why mar such a beautiful canvas like that? I also don't care for the hood decal. I'd rather buy a stock vehicle and then modify it as I wish. When you buy a trim like Altitude or Freedom, you're being charged an arm and a leg for something you can do piecemeal on your own for significantly less cost -- and you can do it the way you want.
