Yeah, I think the Jeep fashion designers are really high on the looks of the GC, hence the Compass grill. Probably only the Wranger will keep its traditional grill. I'm guardedly optimistic about the new Patriot. Trouble is, Detroit always thinks bigger is better. I'm quite content with the Patriot's speed. I didn't buy it to race away from traffic lights, I bought it to get home in a snowstorm. When you're in snow, the power is wasted anyway; power is even counter-productive for inexperience drivers.

Allpar is now saying a June rollout for what is now being called a Cherokee KL.
So if the wraps are still on the updated GC being rolled out in Detroit, it looks like we have to wait to see The Next Generation in April afterall.

I love the upcoming Chrysler cars, they are looking sweet with the Fiat styling, so I'm becoming more optimistic about the Cherokee.

Me thinks Fiat is having alot of fun at our expense, toying with us. Must have something to do with internet access and the speed of news these days.

Allpar mentioned a 4x4 Cherokee, now that is interesting, but not a 2-speed transfer case.

Give up some HP for the 3.2 and gain some MPGs is the right direction.

And as for the Spirit badge I was told about, sounds like part of the game.

Game On!

So the Patriot is still around with Hyundai drive components for 2014? I'm sooo confused.

I agree! That's most people's biggest complaint with the Patriots and Compasses but it has all the power I needed. I wouldnt mind a little more overall size and interior room but I don't want it looking Elephant-esc as the first gen Compass looked.

That sounds AMAZING... seriously. What is your source?? Are those definite features, or just possible at this point?

That's quite a nice list. If all of that comes to fruition I'm sure it will make for an impressive price tag as well.

By the time I'd be in the market for a new Jeep with features like that I could (or like to think that I should!) be able to afford those toys. I'm down for all that stuff if the 3.2L can still get some good gas mileage and if it doesn't look too GC-esc.

You do make a good point, its not like you would be buying a new jeep immediately and like you said, if you save up you should have enough to buy all the neat features. I just hope that they don't sell the new features in packages, i prefer to buy things i like most, instead of getting stuck with something i will rarely use.

Hmm, well, gee, I've been thinking of trading mine for a 2013, but hearing these things makes me want to wait and see what the 2014's are going to be like.

Yea Dixie...I'd at least wait to see what this new Jeep looks like before diving into the current Pat's. Plus it'd give you a few more months to save for it.
