Ahhh now I can answer the questions. All are fine guns but if you are doing any mods like a trigger job it is far easier to get it done for a Glock. I have a 19. My son has an XD. While we did not like the M&P pistols trigger but that was personal preference. Also may want to check the Beretta Storm as both of us were impressed with how nice it shot when we tried it out as part of a program. My son will probably get a Glock 17 just so that he can compete in the Glock events.

For any of these plastic guns you may want to have tape put on the grip. When shooting the moisture in your hands makes the gun slip slightly. In competition it made a big difference for my son.

They have the XDS in 45 now, would be a great carry piece. I might buy one myself, as I really like the ergonomics of the XDs

The more I shoot my Kimbers the better they get.

After placing 8 rnds in a 3" Shoot-N-See yesterday, I put the 1/2" paster dot off to the side on the target board and took it out on the first shot (21' - Pro Carry II).

Aim small, miss small.

Welcome carter!

I was hoping to be out with my bow today, but big storm yesterday makes moving though the woods tough, for me and the deer. I spent most of today walking behind the snow blower, rather than in a tree stand.

I shot an old Hoyt Havoc.

I didn't get out with the bow at all last week, snow too deep, just over my knees.

Saw this video, and thought I'd share, just shows that any tool in the right hands is a good tool.

With all of this ban BS going on I decided to jump on the band wagon and order up some AR stuff. After much searching around I found deals on a several receivers and have some uppers/mags/lpks etc on the way. Hope I get it all...

Also with prices the way they I put one of my AK's (Numbers matching SAR-3 with East German furniture and 6 Weiger magazines) up for sale locally to see what I can get for it:

I listed it for sale or trade plus cash for a 4x4 Jeep... can't wait to see what kind of silly offers I get.

I looked at a Bushmaster at Dicks a couple weeks ago, was a decent sale price. Stopped in yesterday and all their ARs are gone. Guy told me they removed them all and sent them back. Gee. I told them they lost a sale, and a customer, for being PC.

Well wherever Dicks sent them I bet they're sold now.

None of the shops in Phoenix seem to be able to keep anything in stock. The used market is going crazy with $1600-$2500 ARs and $1k+ AKs.

Thank you Dixie for that news clip! My gun store has gone to selling consignment long guns due to lack of inventory. They have no idea when new ARs or AKs will come in. All ammo in stock for now at least in range grade. 9mm reloads were selling for $12.50 per box.

I do like Glock, the guns are solid, easy to shoot. My only issue with getting one is the lack of a safety. Even of they would offer a grip safety I would get one.

I haven't handled a Beretta yet... I'll check out the storm.

Also, I agree on the grip... I need something rubbery.... perhaps plastidip the grip?

I was looking at the XDS, but I'm not sure I want a 45 just yet. Ammo is about double what 9's go for, and I want my wife to be comfortable handling it. I've also seen some reviews about the XDS, and it seems like they have some issues. It was high on my list if they came out with an XDS in a 9, mostly because I like the size

To me, the 9mm has more recoil than a 45. Maybe it just feels that way because it's faster?

A safety is just something you can fumble with when your adrenaline is pumping like crazy. I've seen guys in a firefight fumble with the safety on a 1911. Now you can negate that some, with a lot of practice drawing and shooting with the safety on, but most people do not do that much practice.

The real firearm safety is between your ears.

Should I ever actually need to use it, fumbling over a safety is something I am a little bit concerned with... although a bigger concern I have would be holstering Glock and shooting my leg

My favorite to test fire so far has been the 9mm XDM. The recoil (or lack there of) is incredible... It feels snappy instead of jerky. I would just get that, but it feels to wide for a carry, and I still need to try an XDS (and get past the reviews...)
