Most cars of today really don't came with fog light but there's a separate slot usually for fog lamps and it comes with spare wires too just like mine.

Hopefully the brackets work as nicely on a 2012 as it did on yours TJN. Thanks for the pictures and write up.

Amazon.ca doesn't list the PL-195FC. Amazon.com still ships to Canada no problem but the "FREE Super Saver Shipping" magically disappears when I log in.

Still not a bad price.

Nice post, thanks!
Is it my old eyes, or is the driver-side lamp rotated 90 degrees? If so, the beam pattern would be vertical instead of horizontal, hard on oncoming drivers. The flutes in a fog light lens should be oriented up and down.

No, you're right. This pic was taken during the install still being in process. I was making sure they would fit first. They have been positioned correctly since.

Figured as much, it would be pretty obvious when pulling up to a wall.

Question: How much light would these give as cornering lights? They could be wired using an off-delay relay, powered from the headlight circuit, and switched through the signal lights.
I live in a rural area with few street lights, and turning corners at night is like driving into a back void sometimes. I usually have to slow down.

They give quite some corner light for sure. I'd say they're more driving lights than fog lights. A month or so ago I also swapped the light bulbs in them to Philips Crystal Vision Ultra. Definitely worth $27.

Thanks for the info. I have an fd2 with the oem fog lights but they don't do very much for cornering. The Pilot ones should be here in a couple of weeks to try out. I hope the cut off is sharp, and that they can be swiveled a bit in the socket.

I'll second that, they are really bright, comparable to the headlights on the Jeep.

I aimed them about a foot below the headlights at about 30 m away, nobody's flashed their high beams at me yet.
