Get your nomination in for the voting for January's POTM!

That's right! Now you can nominate a member for having the Patriot of the Month!

Be the first POTM for 2009! Each member will be allowed to nominate TWO members to become this month's POTM! Please simply separate your two entries by a comma and I will count both of them in the final tally. Also, be sure to get BOTH of your nominees on ONE ballot. I will only accept the first ballot I receive from each member.

Nominations will be taken until midnight, Friday, December 19th. Afterwards, the the voting will run for a week (which will include the top four members who received the most nominations)!

POSSIBLE CHANGE: I'm tossing around the idea of making it so a member cannot nominate themselves. I think this would really cut back on amount of members receiving only one nomination (from themselves, naturally). I think it would really help the cream rise to the top and we'd get to see who is truly admired for their hard work around here.

I think self-nomination shouldn't be allowed. It's ridiculous that people nominate themselves for the POTM. I'd also suggest that the voting should be restricted to the top three candidates. It's the most logical: gold medal, silver medal, bronze medal. With 4 candidates, the votes get too much dispersed.

Actually, I wanted to nominate 2 members, Patriotpierre and Silvermike. I didn't notice that you had to put them in one ballot, and I think that the system accepted only Patriotpierre. I don't know if it is possible for you, Gaze to add Silvermike as my second choice now.
Of course, you know that I have never nominated myself.

At risk of opening a can of worms even further, I think nominees should be site supporters.
