mista_g713 11-25-2008, 11:24 PM i saw a pat going down crosstimbers today around noon. it was surf blue with chrome wheels, i think you noticed me, i was in a silver pat. i wouldve waved but i was in shock, ive never seen a pat with big wheels around here.....anyone here?
focusynrocks 01-07-2009, 04:14 PM i havent been on the forum in a while, but im here in h-town... i've seen that dude youre talking about. im not too crazy about that color, but it does shine with those wheels on it.
Lone Star 03-12-2009, 10:11 PM I am up here in New York working at a nuke plant for a little while right on Lake Ontario. Every Patriot here is 4x4. These folks know how to buy a Patriot. My 4x4 manual fits right in. Still don't understand why so few Texans have 4x4s. I guess there are just too many people these days who don't enjoy getting off the road.
Up here, driving on the roads is just about as challanging as off road with the ice and snow.
rdunlap 03-12-2009, 11:14 PM maybe weatherman? he's got the blue with dubs

focusynrocks 03-16-2009, 06:29 PM i cant speak for everyone, but i know downtown houston does'nt really require a 4x4
rocal 03-16-2009, 07:01 PM Yeah, right. Downtown maybe not, but have you been down some of those streets in the Heights lately? Bottom end of Oxford, down near the Onion Creek? Eleventh up near Krogers on the corner of Shepherd? They've got holes in the road you could abseil down into and jumar back out.

focusynrocks 03-20-2009, 06:33 PM ha! i know exactly where your talking about, I grew up in that area. I guess it never seemed that bad to me (maybe I just got used to it)
driver12 03-20-2009, 07:50 PM are there a lot of riots down in the Houston area cus i might be down that way for a road trip this summer

The reason there is not a lot 4x4 pats in houston is because if u want 4x4 u go with a jacked up diesal truck, not a patriot.
FreeLantz 05-24-2009, 01:08 PM There are more 4x4's out in the Hill Country, not here in Houston or in the DFW area so much. My Dodge truck being a regular cab 4x4 with a long bed is VERY rare down here. A 4x4 Patriot with any kind of lift or serious mods would be an oddball in Houston too. Plenty of 2wd's around though....
rickwhitrock 07-02-2009, 04:08 PM I live out in the Katy area, and I've actually seen maybe 5 or 6 patriots around here. Always nice to see another owner.
I think part of the reason is that most of the people getting Patriots around here don't have a 4x4 available, or they can't get a ridiculous deal on it. Mine had an MSRP of 20,000+, and with various deals and arguing I paid about 16. The 4x4's couldn't get below 22k. A $6,000.00 difference is big, and since most of Houston doesn't require 4x4 and we get no snow...
mista_g713 07-15-2009, 12:03 AM yea when i was shopping for mine i dont remember seeing any 4x4s on the lots..
Weatherman 07-27-2009, 12:57 AM Nope, wasnt me. Ive never been to Houston, unless you count a connecting flight:)
PatriotWhite21 08-10-2009, 10:15 PM I just purchased mine last Wed; it was the last one on the lot and there weren't any others in the state of Texas with the FDII pkg. I had to go out to Tomball Dodge to get mine.

Yeah i got a pretty good deal I think on mine, once it is paid off I would pay 23815, mine was 28000+ that includes extended warranty, gap, the other BS with the paint protection and undercoat protection and the theft protection and the FDII pkg. some how I managed to get 0 down and 0% APR for 72 mo. I did the CARS program got 4500 for my Discovery and it was only worth about 1500.
