: My '07 Patriot Sport 4x4 is on order!
Chachi The Patriot 03-25-2007, 11:38 PM Hello!
This is my first Jeep, and my first new car! Weird because I was in the car business for 5+ years, and worked at the dealership I have ordered mine from. I have owned a lot of other cars in a short time while in the business, but never owned a Jeep. Sold many, but never owned myself. This is going to work great for my family and business situation, so I am looking forward to it. Here is what I have on order and am pretty pumped about:
2007 Jeep Patriot Sport 4x4
26E Package
CVT2 Trans.
Exterior Color: Black
Interior Color: Pastel Slate Grey Yes Essentials Fabric
Popular Equipment Group
Fog Lamps
All Season Floor Mats
9-Speaker Boston Acoustics Sound Group
Trailer Tow Prep Group
Tire & Wheel Group
Premium Steering Wheel Group
I look forard to hitting this site often for info on this, and use other forums like this for other hobbies/interests. Thanks!!!
Chachi The Patriot 03-27-2007, 05:20 PM I am curious of what other owners average wait time for a new order is. If you ordered one, how many days from order until you were busting bugs on the road? As I mentioned in another thread, I have read anywhere between 17 days, and not expecting theirs until August!! I am hoping mine is a short term order!!
Chachi The Patriot 04-04-2007, 08:24 PM My Patriot is now in D status!!!! Moving right along!! My sales guy/friend said it has been picked up for build schedule before many others they have in the system. He mentioned that of course it helps it is a sold order, but he said they are seeing a slow down on Pats with the Off Road package and the different CVT. Makes me feel good I didn't order that package. Hopefull within about a month I will busting bugs with my Patriot!!!

ordered 3/5. still at D1. GOOD LUCK
Chachi The Patriot 04-05-2007, 08:03 PM I just got the update yesterday about my Patriot going to D status, and today it has moved to D1!!! I now have a ship date of 4/19, and it should be here about 2-3 weeks after that. Fast turn around for just ordering it on 3/24 (Saturday), and it officially got picked up on Monday 3/26. Again my sales guy has told me that mine has jumped way ahead of in line for build, and leaped over ALL of the FDII orders. Again, good thing I didn’t get that package. Not really needed for my use. Soon, I will be a proud Jeep owner for the first time!
Belveder 04-06-2007, 10:51 PM I don't even know what my status is yet.I ordered mine on the 12th of march and couple of days ago when I spoke to my salesguy I was told it may take probably another month or so.I don't think he checked anything anyways [tehy sell you the car and loose their interest in you],and I don't have the time to call Chrysler unless there is some www where I can get some more specific information about this delivery business.
Chachi The Patriot 04-07-2007, 01:21 PM I don't know where on the web you can get that info. My sales guy said he checks this daily, and if he sees any change, he would call me. It just so happens that there has been a change every day this week. I got a call yesterday saying that it now has a VIN (Vehicle Identification Number), which is another step forward in the progress! Sweet! Belveder, out of curiousity, is your the the FDI or FDII package?
ratman482 04-07-2007, 02:36 PM Hate to burst your bubble, but...I ordered mine on 2/15 and am still in D1 status! In fact I have been there for 5 weeks. The truth of the matter is that Chrysler has no idea when they can build, not to mention deliver my Patriot. Anything they tell you should be taken with a grain of salt...sad truth is that it could be months before you get a phone call from your dealer. That last my dealer told be was 4 more weeks about a week ago...they orginally told be five weeks total. I guess all we can do is wait and be patient, but with each passing week I lose a little more confidence in Chrysler!
Chachi The Patriot 04-09-2007, 02:46 PM I don’t think your trust should falter in Chrysler, but in your dealership that is giving you the info. I do trust my dealer and my sales person, but then again I did work there for 5 years, and I get well taken care of. I truly do think I will be driving my Patriot in about a month or so. Again, I used to work there on the sales end of it, so I understand the process probably better than the average consumer. As I mentioned in my last post, I now have a VIN, so it is a “real” vehicle now that it has an identity, while being in the D1 status. Ratman, did you get a VIN yet? I did see that someone said you can call an 800# at Chrysler to get an update on your order, in case your dealer isn’t as willing to look at the report that shows the update or status.
Also, one thing to keep in mind is that some dealers say they will “order” you a vehicle, but they may only place the orders 1-2 times per month in the Chrysler system. When I say order, I ordered mine on Saturday 3/24, but it didn’t get placed until Monday 3/26. I’m not saying every dealer orders in batches like this, but some do. Check with your sales guy for what the exact order date is, because it could be different than what you think.
One other thing to throw out there again……Is yours a FDII package with the Off-Road group on it? It seems from what I am hearing, and what my sales guy is seeing with their sold orders, is that the FDII package is slowing orders down, because of its popularity and parts availability. Just curious. Thanks all, and good luck!
Chachi The Patriot 04-20-2007, 02:22 PM I am now in "I" status on Patriot!!! Yeah! It should be shipped from the factory in a couple of days!!! Yeah!!!! On the 24th it will be one month ago that I ordered it! Moving quickly!
Roninshinobi 04-20-2007, 03:41 PM Is Belvidere, Illinois plant the only ones building the patriots? If so, it could explain the long turn around time for custom makes.
