Our Patriot came with a year subscription to Sirius. So far, I can only switch back and forth between channel 1 and channel 184. I called Sirius and the account has been activated (by the dealership), but they couldn't help me figure out how to make it work. Apparently the Sirius costumer service doesn't yet have a manual for the Patriot radio that they can access to help a customer troubleshoot problems. She suggested I contact the dealership. I will this week, but I was wondering if anyone had suggestions/instructions. The manual isn't helpful.

I'll give her the contact dealership recommendation. There's no way she could know that the Patriot radio is used on other DCX vehicles too...
If you can receive channel 184, then you can get the signal ok. Make sure the correct radio serial number is what Sirius has in their system. I'm pretty sure that should display if you set it to channel 1.
What is the sales code for your radio? It is most likely printed on the radio in small letters, by the tune knob on the right side. It should be 3 characters like RSE or RKW or some such. If you can post the code here, I'll go through our info at work and see if I can find some info on that particular radio.
I believe 184 might be the default. You need the ESN...of course, without knowing how to get it from the radio, it doesn't help.
Depending on what radio you have, one of these should work of getting the ESN code to relate to the Sirius customer service rep (info below care of fnkychkn of LXforums.com):

Thank you for the information. I did manage to access the ESN via the radio. I gave that number to Sirius customer service and that is when the rep told me she couldn't help me further without knowing what kind of radio that is in the Jeep. She was able to tell me that the service had already been activated, but not how to make it function. So, I will be calling the dealership tomorrow.

Try activating online, despite what the Sirius rep said on the phone, and try having them re-ping the system if they have not allready. Your dealership probably wont be able to do much except replace the Sat receiver since DCX still has not given us anything in the way of diagnostics for Sirius. They usually tell us to call Sirius, I call and tell them Im a Tech at a Jeep dealership and then after 5 minutes of going over the problem with them they usually suggest I bring it to the dealership.

I had this problem w/ the radio on my Sprinter van. It also came w/the free Sirius subscription. Turned out that you need to have the radio turned on when they send the activation signal for the radio. Try that and see if that works. Also make sure that the bars on the roof rack are not blocking the attenna as that gives you a week signal.
Hope this helps.
