Looking to trade in my 03 JGC as soon as our dealer gets some in. One thing I am worried about is power and if my two medium dog kennels will fit in the back with the seats up. Any comparisons out there in regards to cargo size? Is there much of a difference in interior quality of the Pat vs. Liberty?

Thanks all!

I'm not sure why so many people are always concerned with "power".I've been driving little ford focus station wagen with 115 horses and I can honestly tell you I never had an issue with lack of power.I certainly don't burn rubber with my compact but even when driving fully loaded on the steep hill of North Carolina or Cape Breton and was always capable to keep running in the fast lane on the highway,no problem.Patriot is only about 200 ponunds heavier than Focus Wagon and its engine has 172 horses,it's more than plenty, trust me.
Horspower is a big marketing trick for automakers. It sells lots of cars and in reality for 90% of drivers it doesn't make any difference.
Just look at the older engines of let's say 1960 or 1970.Big cars used to run well with engines that produced 100 - 150 horses and traffic certainly didn't stop in America.
Just don't worry about the "small" 2.4 L motor.Take the Patriot for a test drive, step on the gas and you'll see how agile the car is.If you know how to drive a stick then pick the standart and you'll get much better feel of the engine performance.
