: Minnesota Patriot Owners?
BatmanX 03-23-2007, 05:29 PM Ordering one soon.
Looks to be a few (under 16) in the metro area for sale, either really plain or maxed out options.
There are even two 4x2 models.
thetootall 04-01-2007, 06:32 PM I just picked up one of the loaded ones yesterday :)
jeffrow75 04-14-2007, 03:01 PM picked up mine wednesday in hopkins steel blue.. they a couple others also
thetootall 04-15-2007, 08:04 PM What all did you get on your Patriot?
ridewake 05-05-2008, 05:16 PM I got one of the 4x2's...they had a hard time finding what I wanted, finally found one 500 miles away and it got sold on us, so now tow package or heated seats for me...just the 26e package and the rims/tires.
Sheltie Guy 07-26-2009, 09:22 PM I had to go to Iowa to get mine back in late May.
VWCarcrazy 08-18-2009, 02:26 PM Got ours in late July from Fury in SSP, MN. There were only a few Patriots left on the lot with power locks, wdos and remote. They had plenty of others in basic guise. Got a 4x2 Limited, Leather, pretty loaded. We must have been the only people shopping without a clunker to trade. Great car, lousy dealership. I for sure will not be taking it to them for service, and will avoid setting foot in their dealership ever again in the future. Anytime a dealership sales manager says to you (honest to God quote): "You are trying to take food out of my childrens mouths", when I am trying to negotiate on a purchase - what a joke! If it weren't that they had the vehicle we wanted, we would have walked out of the stealership.
jepstr67 08-18-2009, 05:14 PM I'm at work in St.Cloud this week. I split my time between St.Cloud MN and Madison WI. I've had my Patriot since April of 08. 33000 miles on it now.
I'm surprised how many of you have chosen 4x2's in this climate.
chadandy12 08-18-2009, 06:56 PM I got mine the end of July from Park Jeep in Burnsville. It a 2009 Sport 4x4 E package basically loaded w/o leather or gps all the other bells and whistles however. I believe they are completely out of Patriots at the moment due to C4C.
fatnfurious 08-18-2009, 08:43 PM I checked over 100 dealerships in MN 2 weeks ago and there were no Patriots available.
VWCarcrazy 08-18-2009, 09:43 PM Well, they do actually plow the roads in Minnesota don't cha know...
And most of the road ARE paved...
Actually, I have had several 4x4's over the years and have hardly used the feature. The 4x2 with ESP should fit the bill just fine 99% of the time. The other 1%, I will take a day of vacation or comp time if the weather is that bad. And I prefer the extra several mpg that the 4x2 gets over the 4x4. However, if I lived outside of a major city I would get the 4x4 in a heartbeat for safety sake because wind and drifting snow you can end up off the pavement pretty easy. Thank God for 4x4 and cell phones when that happens (and a farmer with a tractor handy...).
When I travel outstate on business fairly frequently in the winter (Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin and Chicagoland, IL), I always request a 4x4 SUV from my companies fleet. Luckily, I can plan my trips around the weather as much as possible - but it does get a little old after 30 years of doing this...
chadandy12 08-18-2009, 11:13 PM I thought I heard the same thing actually.

I traded a Chevy HHR for my Patriot. I've driven only Jeeps for over 25 years and I was constantly getting stuck and angry with 2WD. I bought the HHR to conserve Gas and I ended up driving my 1983 CJ8 at 15 MPG all winter. So the HHR had to go. It was not able to meet my winter travel requirements safely. Patriot FD1 answers most of my needs. I'd really like low gear range every so often, but I wanted the 5 speed for the better fuel economy. I still have the other Jeeps when I need to yank stumps out of the ground. Patriot is a great car but it falls short on several aspects that made Jeep an icon.
Pracket 11-30-2009, 05:04 PM I picked up my Patriot in late August of 09 from Furry in Lake Elmo. Its an 08 Patriot 4X4 Limited in Surf Blue Pearl Coat and cannot be happier with it. I drive up to the North Shore a lot in the winters to visit family and ski/snowmobile. I got to test out the 4X4 this November on some muddy skidder trails while hunting and it worked like a charm. Glad to be member of the Jeep family.
RochPatriot 12-09-2009, 01:41 PM Picked up my patriot about a month ago. 2010 Light sandstone metallic, AWD/4X4 sport, tire and wheel package, Boston Acoustics sound system, basic stain repel seats. No fog lights:( but that will be changed.
bmckaige 01-26-2011, 04:15 PM I purchased mine in Oct. 2008
Bulldog89 01-27-2011, 12:08 AM I live in North Dakota but I do spend time in Minnesota. I bought a used ’08 Patriot in January 2010 from Fury Motors in Lake Elmo.

caliro 04-19-2011, 05:43 PM I bought mine in March of '09 in Hopkins...LOVE IT!!! The only problem that I have now is that I hit a raccoon in Montana, and it tore up the fender liner (or wheel well liner). It's going to cost $150 at the dealership to replace, I can get one online for a lot less, but will need some help in replacing it! Darn raccoon!!!

I'll bet the 'coon isn't too pleased with your car either. ;)
