: The Sales page is back!
Updated with MK sales goodness (or not-so-goodness) is the MK Sales page (http://www.jeeppatriot.com/forum/goto.php?section=sales)!
Track sales data from the inception of the Patriot and Compass. What month did you add to the magic number? Check it all out HERE (http://www.jeeppatriot.com/forum/goto.php?section=sales)!
jepstr67 10-04-2008, 11:03 AM I bought mine in the peak sales month. I find it odd there is that much fluctuation in sales numbers month to month. People are not buying the Compass these days.
Randoo-N-CJ 10-04-2008, 11:17 AM It's interesting to note that in Jan '07, people bought 22 TIMES as many Compasses as Patriots, but by May, Patriot sales outpaced Compass sales.
We bought ours in Sept, where the sales of Pats almost doubled those of Compass. Neat!
jack.allwardt 10-05-2008, 12:22 AM Do you suppose it was those folks who wanted the "new look" of the "cross-over vehicle" before the rest of us took over with the "classic look" vehicles?

I'd say that is a good bet. The Compass should have been released as a Chrysler right from the git go.
cairn99 10-05-2008, 04:30 PM Bought mine in May of 08. Big seller of Pats that month.
TexasJeep 10-05-2008, 08:59 PM Chrysler is encouraging sales of the Patriot vs. the Compass. On 2008 Compasses the rebate is $1000 vs. $2000 on the Patriot. Given the sales ratio one would expect the opposite.
I've read elsewhere that Jeep intends to sell only the rugged off road type vehicles that the typical Jeep customer expects from the brand. In addition Chrysler has made it clear that they do not want to sell two different models of the same vehicle or no more "badge engineering". I would expect 2009 to be the last year for the Compass.

Production of the Patriot didn't begin until the last week of December '06, so in the first few months of 2007 there were scant few available for sale on dealer lots (hence the low sales numbers). When a new model enters production, it takes a few months to populate dealer lots with the vehicle.

I ordered my Patriot in Feb 2007. There wasn't a single one on the lots at my Local Jeep Dealers. The salesman knew nothing about it. I just told him what I wanted and told him to fill out the order form.
Scottkmlps 10-10-2008, 11:23 PM There's a test driving show here in Canada, and they test drove the Patriot back in 2007, and they said that they felt the Patriot would hurt the sales of the Compass. They were right on that mark.
Sniper Wolfer 11-29-2008, 05:34 PM I see first time the patriot & compass in my country in mach of 2007, it was so popular, but at the beagining the suv that sells more here was the compass, and the patreiot don't have to much popularitie, one phenomenous that happen here is that the compass is used to bought by the womans who wnat a small economic jeep and looks more feamale, in the other hand the mans prefer the patriot, beacouse it's look more off road & don't look with very curved lines. that is my opinion
IowaEagle 11-29-2008, 05:49 PM It does not surprise me the Patriot is selling better. More Jeep like in appearance. Our dealer also says the Compass will be discontinued -- Jeep buyers tend to be traditionalists in some ways.
Sniper Wolfer 12-03-2008, 12:21 AM Yes that is a good point of view
JoeBecker 12-04-2008, 08:07 PM November numbers released yet?
November numbers released yet?
They will be up shortly!
November sales have been added to the Sales page....but it may have been better off if I had not added them.
Check it out here (http://www.jeeppatriot.com/forum/goto.php?section=sales)!
JoeBecker 12-04-2008, 08:40 PM Actually better than I had expected. It was not a dramatic drop off.
Sniper Wolfer 12-04-2008, 10:28 PM i guees that the cars will decrease the sells in the soons months, don't you think?
lotoftime 12-05-2008, 07:43 PM I purchased mine in november. Dealership was empty of people (ghost town). I was trying to find an 08 model but there inventory must have moved quick. However looking at the changes to the interior I am glad I bought an 09.:pepper:
Oktazcat 12-05-2008, 08:52 PM They are apparently selling well here in Oklahoma. I saw my first Patriot on the road the very day I drove mine home back in September last year and didn't see another one for over six months. Just this week I've seen four other Patriots around the area. Is it silly that I get a big grin on my face when I see another Patriot?
BWheeler 12-09-2008, 02:35 AM Is it silly that I get a big grin on my face when I see another Patriot?
I think you are just getting jealous every time you see others driving their PAT... :D
JoeBecker 03-04-2009, 11:33 PM Time to get '09 rolling... overall it was really bad for the companies formerly known as the big 3, but how did our MK's do?
January
Patriot 2,114
Compass 819
February
Patriot 2,161
Compass 923
These are just slightly lower than Nov and Dec '08 which I think is actually a good sign. There is not a lot selling but they are consistent.

I'd enter them, but it's some secret coding that only DMAG can figure out... I tried once and almost ruined the whole site before hitting undo a whole bunch of times! :p

JoeBecker 06-03-2009, 06:01 PM Bump.... see above post for sales through May... not setting the world on fire but has been consistent.

I'll PM DMAG... if I try to update it again a site crash is a possibility!
vetbridge 06-04-2009, 09:38 AM The numbers are interesting, but would be even more meaningful expressed as a percent of total car sales. Is that figure available?
Pigshanks 06-04-2009, 12:28 PM We bought ours in July '07. Checked out the two dealerships in our city of 65000 before we bought one. 1st dealer only had 2 on the lot and had not sold one yet. Second dealer had 5 to choose from and had gave us a better trade in on the minivan. So we bought the second PAT in Medicine Hat............and that even rhymes:doh:
Sorry for the delay guys. The Sales page is back up and running (not that there is anything pretty to look at numbers-wise).

gravityrules 06-11-2009, 06:54 PM Just a suggestion ... I would like to see the amount of dealer inventory (in sales days) if that information is available on a model basis. I know this is reported by brands but I'm not sure if it is publicized by model. When I was checking dealer inventory the Patriot seemed to be in stock in the largest quantity. I don't think the factory shutdown has cleared out the Patriot inventory (it's probably a different story if you're looking for specific options).
JoeBecker 07-06-2009, 08:57 PM June 2009 Numbers
Patriot 2,765
Compass 967
Still not great since they sold over 4000 last June but consistent.
They need to advertise this thing better (at all).
eng1sbfd186 07-28-2009, 04:29 PM trying to find one now in the North East is almost impossible. Went yesterday to a dealership that jeep.com said had 11 in stock, got there and they only had 1. Between Friday and Monday they sold 11.
gravityrules 07-31-2009, 06:48 PM Eager to see the July numbers ... Any guesses as to the multiplier over June's sales figures?
gravityrules 08-03-2009, 02:28 PM Posted on allpar.com, July sales figures are better than all Chrysler group models other than Ram P/U and Caravan.
July 2009 Numbers
Patriot 8,084

RAKoon 01-25-2010, 11:19 PM Anyone have an idea of how many FDII's are out there? I keep looking and have only seen one in SE MI so far, besides mine.
