Hello ladys and gents. MY name is adam. Im 23 years old gonna be 24 on the 11th of october. I am a proud Jeep Patriot Owner.
I bought myself a brand new 2008 Jeep Patriot. I love this thing. Powerful, good looking, alot of potential i just love it! I found this forum and i have to ask. You all have such awesome jeeps from what i have seen, and great ideas. I had a few ideas for my jeep. Let me tell you about my jeep first. Its a 2008 Patriot White in color, basic 16 inch rims, 5 speed manual.
Heres what i had plans for:
Its white and i always like the black and white look on other vehicles i have seen so im thinking:
Black Painted 17 inch Rims, Performance All-Season Tries.
Running Chrome Step Bar.
Chrome Door Handles.
Chrome Grille Inserts.
Low Glow Light Kit ( i know kind of dumb ona jeep but i have it from my car and i need to do something with it ).
Tinted Windows.
Thats all i can think of. Anybody have any other ideas? Maybe a great place i get the stuff i listed above from pretty cheap prices? Help me out here guys and girls im new to the forums and iw ant to be part of it :) :pepper:

Welcome.
Sounds like you are aimed the direction of many of our members. You will find lots of useful information on most of those projects here. One member has done a real nice job of creating a 2 tone Patriot in Black and white. He started with a white one. A fellow named Weatherman is the king of chrome.
If you are going to search for some of these things, click on the white word "search" up in the green bar. Then type in the box that comes up. Don't just type in the box on the home page. You will find much more site specific information.
Again, welcome aboard!

The muffler black out is a easy one to do.

I'm personally not a chrome fan, and being one that is frugal, I'd personally hold out on the wheels...The way I see it is they gave you perfectly good tires...use them, then when you'd need new tires anyway, get rims and tires...but of course, that's just me...

Welcome there is another person on here with a Glow Kit. It doesn
t look that bad but I would put up some deflextors to spread the Glow for more ground coverage.
I agree unless you can sell the tires you have them just keep them until they wear out. If you decide to upgrade earlier think about selling them separately as full size Spares they may sell better for you.

Welcome Adam! We do require pics on ALL mods of any kind. Just kidding, but we love pics here.
Sounds like you are more into street mods than off-road mods, even so, the SRAs are a decent all-around tire and will serve you quietly for at least 10k mikes. Yeah, they are skinny, and they get loud when the miles start to add up. So if you do go wider, 225s or 235s are more than wide enough to make a nice difference in performance.
I haven't seen any running boards yet, mostly rock sliders, but to each his own.
Good luck with your Pat.

GO PHILLS???? ARGGHHH! Just kidding they have a nice team.
Anyway, welcome to the forum ilhe. I like the idea of black rims on a white Patriot. Probably can find pics of it done one here somewhere. I've been on the forum for about a month now and still haven't read through everything. (Probably gonna take awhile!) I like my factory tint, if you don't have, hey, go for it. Watch out for those tickets!
As for tires, I have the 17" wheels with 215/65R17, and while not a bad look, not quite the beefy off-road look I'd prefer. Seems to be a little too much wheel well showing. There is a very sharp "street-mod" Patriot on here. Silver w/ 18" SRT wheels I think. Looks real nice. I think someone photoshopped it lowered a bit.
I'd leave the black door handles if you're going with black wheels. With that and tint I'd think you'd have a nice contrast. Don't know about the grill inserts; I did it on mine but had to, mine is black and now you can actually tell it's a Jeep grill!
Lots of good info on audio/video as well. I would guess you'd like to upgrade the stereo. Consensus seems to be new 6x9's in the doors. HU swap isn't too bad. Plenty of room under the front seats for a small box and an amp. Larger systems shown on here too.
Good luck with your mods. And yes, pics are loved on here. I'm guilty of not posting any yet though.
