Hello,
I wonder if any of you has any deeper knowlegde of auxiliary lights which I would like to install on the fron bumper of the Patriot.Yes,I ordered the fog lights but what I would like to have are extra powerful high beams for use on remote roads up in northern Ontario.
Or maybe it is possible to get some special replacement halogen light ball which would offer much more powerful high beam capabilities.Anyways if you have any experience with this lighting issue let me know please of the options and choices I have. Thanks, Belveder

Brochure (near the back) shows:
"Driving Lights"--2 large round lights to be mounted on front bumper.
"Off-Road Lights" which require the Roof Top Cargo Basket. ORL can be purchased separately in configuration of 2 or 4 lights, and mount directly to cargo basket.
So, you could add 6 more lights to the front! However, neither the DL or the ORL is listed yet on leeparts.com or justforjeeps.com.
Also, the aftermarket should have some options soon....

I have a set of Hella 500 (http://www.rallylights.com/hella/500.asp) Driving Lights (item HL76110) on my TJ and they do a great job of lighting up everything in front of you. They are inexpensive as far as high quaility lights go. Relatively easy to wire up. The kit comes with everything you need (wires, a fuse, a switch, a relay and instructions).
When you wire up your driving lights you want them ON with high beams and OFF with low beams (the exact oppisite of fog lights). I can't remember offhand but I want to say the instructions that come with the Hella 500 (http://www.rallylights.com/hella/500.asp) Driving Lights (item HL76110) tell you how to wire up FOG lights. Its not a big deal rallylights.com (http://www.rallylights.com/useful_info/auxiliary_lamp_wiring.htm) has a good diagram you can use. :D
