well the POTM has a past of bad reputation. Pretty much lack of maintaining this section of the thread from admins.

Start passing out the Quaker State Motor Oil to all entrants of the POTM.

cool vehicles enlisted for the votes.
i like frans driving lights, but overall the silver pat of goguadi looks coolest.
maybe it's because of the layout and because it is dirty,as a jeep should be

We have to give Admin credit for following up on this. What happened in the last couple months wasnt his fault. As far as the oil change....I LIKE free stuff! I dont use that brand in MY motor, but my son sure would appreciate a free oil change.
We all participated in the POTM program BEFORE there was a free oil change drawing thrown in there. If they are bringing it back, and following up, they have my support.

send a message to admin, asking him where you have to take your car for the free oil, summin tells me the answer aint gunna be simple:)

Winning the POTM doesn't win a free oil change. Winner gets his name put in a hat, and then if his name is pulled, he wins.

Should be some kind of a decal or cling we could put on the vehicle "Patriot of the month" and list the web site. Might bring in some more folks to the site.

This contest is run monthly on over 200 different forums we run. It's not about budget but rather practicality on why we just can't give every ROTM winner a free QS oilchange voucher.

over 200 forums? really? And Quaker State wouldn't give you anything better then one free oil change? i guess some of those forums might be specialty vehicles. I know my Charger costs over $100. Patriot winners are kind of taking the screwing there. My free prize isn't as valuable as Bob's free prize! :spoiled child smilely:

I'm not a marketing guy, and a free oil change is better then a kick to the balls. But wouldn't a free oil change to get the Quaker State in it, then a free oil analysis done 3,000 miles later to demonstrate that Quaker State protects better and lasts longer be not only a better prize but a better marketing tool as well?

Sorry to disappoint you zbee, but you'll see me every day. Except weekends and holidays when the office is closed.

Just a friendly word of advice, introduce yourself.

A generic named absentee moderator is what you come off as, and generally that won't work well in a enthusiastic consumer environment.

You know how to get rid of crabs right? You shave off half the hair, then set the other half on fire, and when they run into the open, stab them with an icepick.

That was the instruction given when I was in the Army.

MrMischief

I'd think I could just name them. Every time I name a new pet of mine, it dies.

I had a plant named fred
a lion fish named shredder
a shrimp named scampi

the list is very long... My house is the Auschwitz for all non-mammals
