When I first saw this forum last month I was amazed that so many felt so strongly about their MKs. Also, impressed about the information available here.
So when I saw the RRO lift kit I knew that is what our '07 needed if it were to ever aspire to go off-road.
Well, got her done yesterday and we could not be happier. The Pat has no issues from the lift kit at all.
The new ride height is uplifting, excuse the pun, and really gives a nicer perspective of the road.....much better for off-roading and driving in general.
I just thought that if you are considering this mod that IMHO you will not be dissappointed one bit. Total outlay for the lift kit, install and alignment was just shy of $800. You can do it yourself, you know who you are, but the alignment is so critical that getting to the alignment shop could be hazardous. Also, having a lift makes it soooo much easier. I suggest getting it done professionally if you are not an auto tech. We are not talking leafsprings and solid axles here, if you know what I mean.
I'll get some pics up when it stops raining here.
First pic is hitting the ground, that's why toes are in

Looks like the lower control arms need to be a bit longer.

Looks good though.

That rear shot was just as it was lowered from the lift. Really was well engineered by RRO IMO, though there may be issues with the longer struts on the FDII setup from posts here, but this is a 4x2 project so ask the lifted FDII owners.
Once the Riot was moved, the rears leveled out, no pigeon-toes! Any taller and you would need longer lower control arms for sure.
Still raining here from TS Fay, so no pics today.
Funny thing is my wife still hasn't figured it out yet.
I'm really jonesin' to get new shoes for this puppy. I can get 4 Cooper ATRs for the price of 3 in a 235/65/17 and gain another 1/2" or 12.5mm. That would work out to 2.625" or 65.6mm of added clearance. I'll just have to wait, can't justify dumping half-spent rubbers.....at least for a month or two. LOL

the lift kit comes with an adjustable upper control arm that takes care of that.

Patman, you won't have any issues at that size for sure.
I am looking at a 245/65/17 that also comes in a 235, rare in 17s. The tire shop said they have no problem mounting up one or two to check the fit, and if it doesn't work I go with the 235s. I want NO issues of rubbing in the least bit. At this point I'm talking only a .25" difference in clearance. But if I get the 245s to fit right GREAT!!!
UPDATE: Apparently Tire K_@#m wants me to go with the 235s to avoid any warranty issues.....pays to get it in writing when a 60k- mile warranty is at stake. Nuf sed!
