I've mentioned this before in passing, but I don't believe I ever got anyone's signature here. We've made an online form now so if you're a Colorado resident interested in allowing Stay the Trail to have their own plates for fund raising, please consider signing this form. This does not obligate you to buy the plates, but rather to have the plates produced. We need 3,000 signatures.

Stay the Trail mission:
Our mission is to reinforce and highlight responsible OHV use, and to modify and mitigate irresponsible use in an effort to minimize resource damage on public land. Our goal is to create a statewide culture of responsible OHV use which will continue beyond the life of the project, effectively creating a stewardship ethic among all Colorado OHV recreationists.

The must recent thing Stay the Trail is known for is sending their program Colorado Trail Patrol after Mr. Pringle and his Subaru. We found him, got him to go with us to recover the car and got it out of there with minimum damage to the environment, the spilled oil cleaned up, trash removed and illegal trail bypasses closed down.

I am informed that, as of now, we only need 250-300 signatures to meet the minimum. However, we only have about 2 weeks to obtain those signatures.

If you are a Colorado resident; Please go here: http://staythetrail.org/plates/ and sign the petition.

Thanks!

FYI - To date, we received 642 signatures through the online petition compared to about 2,000 hand written signatures. Thanks to everyone who has already signed the petition in either format!

Ok, we've now done an official count of all of the signatures that we have.

WE STILL NEED 147 SIGNATURES BY THIS FRIDAY!

If we don't get the 147 additional signatures by this Friday, then this is a lost cause and we'll need to start over next year. Let's do what we can to make these plates a reality.

Good luck,
Also you want more than the min required at least 10%-20% more.
As some sigs won't be valid, duplicates, non res, etc.
Let us know how you do
