I'll take my virtual flogging for this but I've had my Riot since September of last year and last weekend was the first time it's been waxed. I have washed it once for Pete's sake but that was in one of those brushless car washes. I took her to a very reputable car wash and they vacuumed everything inside, cleaned all the windows, applied a vinyl treatment inside and out, and then hand washed and waxed with an orbital polisher. They applied something to the tires which has kept them shining even four days later. They used something called Waxmaster Paste Wax and I gotta say that my Riot looks amazing! She only has 4100 miles on her so it looks like she was just driven off the showroom floor. They also offer two products named Autofom Paint Sealant ($65) and Fire Glaze Sealant with Tempra Flex ($75). Has anyone used a paint sealant and if so, what is your opinion? Keep in mind that I have restricted lung capacity so waxing is out of the question for me. I want to keep my Riot looking this good for as long as possible but I have zilch experience with this type of thing and don't want to get taken for a ride so to speak. BTW, the total charge for what the car wash did was $62 and they didn't leave even one iota of paste residue on the outer plastic parts.

No one wants to offer help or advice?:(

I've never heard of those two products, but then again, like you, I don't wash or wax my Patriot. It's less wear and tear on my back, and other parts of me that I don't want to ache afterwards. So I'm not very qualified to answer your question or provide guidance on paint sealants.

Sounds like a good deal! Just the vacuuming, wash and hand wax cost me $49 where I take my Patriot. My poor Patriot needs the works badly after the week of Dusty's Wild Adventure... Gonna get her cleaned up tomorrow!
BTW, Oktazcat, that's a mean looking animal in the avatar. :D

Wax a Jeep??? The only car I've waxed was a German Car and after all that work, I was like...I don't need to be owning a German Car if this is what I have to do! Jeeps need mud baths!

I wash once or twice a week and wax once a month. This is my first new car and I am going to keep it looking as good as long as I can. I must admit that I really enjoy doing it. I think the deal you got isn't bad and if she looked good after it was well worth it.

That does sound like a good price!
So wait... you've owned your pat for almost a whole year, and have only washed it once?
