Folks,

Anyone had problems pairing their phones via Bluetooth.

Dealer seems to manage OK with same phone and very willing to help.

He must be doing something different - but all he suggests is I visit garage and he will do it for me.

I suspect there is an issue - anybody come across it.

Hi

I have Mygig REW with software V2.401 and UConnect and Nokia 6300 phone (no choice on the phone - its a work one). It doesnt auto connect very well so following a thread I found some time ago I manually pair the phone with the system and that works reliably although a bit of a pain because when I stop to refuel etc I have to pair the phone again. A bit of digging on various forums leads me to believe that it's the phone's problem not the UConnect although I dont have another one to try it with.

There is a useful document here relating to phone compatibility, however it is a US document but I guess the phones/bluetooth are the same.

To everyone with Uconnect issues and phone pairing: Try updating your phone to the latest version, and updating Uconnect (http://www.jeeppatriot.com/forum/showthread.php?p=322933#post322933)

I've used several phones with my U-Connect....however, some phones lack the firmware to keep the connection--it'll connect, down the block disconnect and then re-connect---not a reliable method of hands-free. But--it's the phones at fault--not u-connect.

I think if you follow the procedure in the manual, you shouldn't have any problem--but be advised that some phones may not work....

Mine would disconnect and reconnect, but it was due to the phone book syncing. The uconnect update fixed it

I paired ok using my Nokia and hear it beep as I enter and exit as it connects and disconnects.
Only problem is making a call when driving, must be the extra background noise that throws the uconnect when trying to use voice recognition to make a call.
I'm going to set up the wife's samsung to see if that works ok.
