Design the JeepPatriot.com Logo Contest!

http://www.jeeppatriot.com/images/press_kit/pat_sign.jpg

Are you handy with Photoshop or any other graphics program? Do you love Jeeps?

Well, then this contest is for you!

Help out Jeep Patriot .com by designing a logo for our website. We will use your logo (if chosen) all over the website as well as on future banners for get-togethers and even on club t-shirts, etc...

Got what it takes? Then submit your logo today!

Details:

Submissions should be posted to the contest thread (this thread!), either by attaching to your post or submitting through a url. If you need us to host your image, contact DMAG.

The design should somehow convey the Jeep Patriot with the website name....(obviously). The rest is up to you! However you want it to look (cartoonish, beefy) is up to you.

The design should be square or circular in shape, as most logos are ;)

The logo shall be submitted in a format that is viewable by all (jpg or gif preferably) and eventually made available in source form (vector would be great, but a large sized .psd is fine as well).

The winning submitter must agree to assign the copyright to JeepPatriot.com and attach no other restrictions to the use of the logo. All submitters must declare that they do not infringe the rights of another party and that publishing their logos for the purpose of this contest is acceptable.

The contest will run at least April 30th, though if more time is needed, we will extend the contest.

Simple majority is used to decide.... You all get to pick the winner!

The winner will receive their winning logo on a t-shirt and baseball cap (and any other swag we can come up with) :D

Can’t say I didn’t try. Not an artist by very geometrical.

Logo explanation

-Square form -In red, blue and white
-To the colors of the American flag for a famous USA line of products (Jeep).
-Vertical American flag image allowing an association of the 7 red stripes with Jeep typical radiator grille and round headlights (in light grey for smooth blending).
-Flag itself associated with term “Patriot”
-Internet Jeep patriot site address in a vertical position next to flag for easy location identification

Just an observation I had to comment on. I noticed the inclusion of American Flags in some of the logos above. As a proud Canuck.. I too am patriotic. The definition of a Patriot is:

"A patriot is someone who feels patriotism, support for their country."

Just my $0.02 that you'd be limiting your traffic by adopting any one nationality flag as part of an official logo design.

IMHO, Patriot in this context implies loyalty and support for the 'Jeep' brand. Anyways, will put my money ($0.02 worth) where it is and spark up the Photochop software to see what I can whip up. Do I win a Jeep if it's picked too? :)

Wow...some good stuff!

For those using the Jeep logo, whaddaya think about modifying it to be the shape of the Pat's grille? The actual Jeep logo has the front end shape of the CJ7. ;)

I designed the header up top, but when it comes to designing actual logos ......I suck!

Actually, I like the current forum header. Overlay "jeeppatriot.com" text on it and it can be real clean look.

Before I throw out some of my own designs, I'm interested in what the intended look and feel of the site is. Are you going for a corporate-looking clean and professional look, something informal looking, or over-the-top mud-flying trailblazing grunge look?

Since buying my Patriot, I've started visiting a couple of different Jeep forums. A few of them have a big name sponsor but they all look very amateurish. I really like the look and feel of this site.

We're looking for something professional looking, but also portrays the fun and outdoorsiness (New word...calling Oxford!).

So basically, everything you said. :)

Hi! This is Francis Levy from Mexico, here is a first draft of the Jeep Patriot.com logo. I don't have the exact Jeep Green RGB colors yet, and the font used in PATRIOT is not exactly the one used on the rear bumper but the idea is there...
What do you think?

I'd proudly byy and wear a t-shirt with that logo on it - I'd even pay extra if they were offered in the same colors as our Pats. One large in khaki, please!

I love designing logos. A good logo needs to first be strong and striking in black in white (or in this case, one color - green) before adding color. The concept needs to be the main selling point, not a bunch of Photoshop filters. (Not implying anything toward previous logos.) :smiley_thumbs_up:

Anyway, I couldn't let this sit still, even though I have a TON of work to do. LOL I think following Jeep's "front end" concept is a good thing so I based mine off that (as did many folks here) though mine is the Pat front end. I also included the off-road capability that Jeep is known for, from flat dirt roads to crawling up through forested mountains. Notice how the headlights also resemble a sun/moon. Anyway... off my design soap-box.

Here is my attempt:
