I'm sorry I don't have the URL to the article, but AUTO WEEK is reporting that the 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee is coming out with a 3.0 Mercedes CRD turbo-diesel engine for the US market.

You can find the link at MIKE'S TOTALLY FREE JEEP NEWS NOW.

The flex-fuel version is exactly why it might be a good idea to wait a few more years before buying a new SUV.....That's the way all cars will be forced to go soon...so why buy one now?

It will take several years, in my opinion, before one system starts to dominate the car industry. Of course, oil companies can get scared and start to lower prices, which will cause all this hybrid fever to kinda be forgotten.

Geez, if people would only slow down a couple miles per hour, the oil company executives would be doing back strokes in the glut of oil on the market. There are people still driving like gasoline is 33 cents a gallon, which I remember, by the way:-))

In five years or so when the first group of hybrids need to replace those roughly $5K batteries, their popularity will take a dive!
